The system can filter content received from a remote database coupled to a network to provide a graphical user interface to enable strategic decision making to expand utilization of a product. The system can include a local client computer to generate access to content stored in the remote database, at least one filtering scheme, a set of selectable filters configured to filter the content stored in the remote database according to the at least one filtering scheme, and a remote server coupled to the local client computer via the network to analyze access restrictions to the product based on a selected filter and the at least one filtering scheme to generate a graphical user interface displayed on the local client computer.

The approach involves, for example, determining need-based data, wherein the need-based data includes location-based data indicating at least one condition resulting in a need for the charitable good. The approach also involves processing the need-based data with location-based demographic data, real-time location-based contextual data, or combination thereof to compute a predicted need for the charitable good, wherein the predicted need includes a predicted geofenced boundary and a predicted time at which the predicted need is to occur. The approach further involves monitoring inventory data for the charitable good within a geographic area encompassed by the predicted geofenced boundary. The approach further involves providing an output including a recommended parameter for initiating the management or the distribution of the charitable good within the geographic area based on the predicted need and monitored inventory data.

The geographic recommendation platform receives data identifying a geographic region specified by a user and gathers data relating to the geographic region. The geographic recommendation platform determines, based on the data relating to the geographic region, an anticipated demand for an item within geographic region. The anticipated demand indicates how likely the item is to be purchased by a user that is located within the geographic region. The geographic recommendation platform generates a recommendation for the item based on the anticipated demand. The recommendation indicates the anticipated demand for the item within the geographic region. The geographic recommendation platform transmits the recommendation to the user.

Various technologies pertaining to crowd sourcing data about an entity, such as a business, are described. Additionally, technologies pertaining to inferring metadata about the entity based upon crowd sourced data are described. A sensor in a mobile computing device is activated responsive to a user of the mobile computing device checking in at an entity. Metadata, such as occupancy at the entity, noise at the entity, and the like is inferred using the data captured by the sensor. A search result for the entity includes the metadata.

A broker for communicating with an HTML client running on a client device and with an application running on a remote application server through a web session, said broker comprising: a geolocation information collecting unit, adapted to collect geolocation information from said HTML client; a geolocation processing engine, configured to process said geolocation information, thereby generating location device signalling; and a transmitting module, adapted to transmit said location device signalling to an application server session of said remote application server, thereby emulating a location device.

A computer system for assessing vehicle risk can include: a data storage device storing instructions; a data processor that is configured to execute the instructions to cause the computer system to: provide aggregated vehicle data for a plurality of vehicles including location data of the plurality of vehicles; determine at least one geographic area to be analyzed for the aggregated vehicle data; receive event information of the plurality of vehicles in the at least one geographic area, the even information including location information of a predetermined type of event; determine boundaries of a plurality of geographic communities within the at least one geographic area based on the received event information of the plurality of vehicles; and assigning a risk profile to each of the determined geographic communities based on the event information in each geographic community.
