Example methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to implement calibration of convenience panel data to reduce behavioral bias are disclosed. Disclosed example apparatus include a distribution estimator to determine a first behavioral distribution for first convenience panel data associated with a first market and a measurement period, determine a second behavioral distribution for second convenience panel data associated with a second market and the measurement period, and determine a third behavioral distribution for probabilistic panel data associated with the second market and the measurement period. Disclosed example apparatus also include a distribution calibrator to calibrate the first behavioral distribution determined for the first convenience panel data associated with the first market based on (i) the second behavioral distribution determined for the second convenience panel data associated with the second market and (ii) the third behavioral distribution determined for the probabilistic panel data associated with the second market.
Portable apparatus for measuring air quality and method for displaying information about air quality
Disclosed is an apparatus for measuring air quality, the apparatus comprises a first sensor circuit; a second sensor circuit; a third sensor circuit; a communication circuit configured to communicate with an external server; a display; a processor; and a memory, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to: detect air quality related information by using the first sensor circuit, obtain at least one of movement information detected by using the second sensor circuit or adjacent environment information detected by using the third sensor circuit while the air quality related information is detected, determine validity of the air quality related information from using the first sensor circuit based on the adjacent environment information or the movement information, display the air quality related information from using the first sensor circuit or air quality related information received from the external server based on the determined validity.
Method and system for predictive modeling of geographic income distribution
A method, computer system, and computer program product that aggregates sample data regarding a plurality of factors associated with income and geographic location; performs iterative analysis on the sample data using machine learning to construct a predictive model; populates, using the predictive model, a database with predicted values of average income for a selected set of predefined geographic regions; converts the predicted values of average income in the database into percentages of observed values of average income for geographic regions within the selected set over a specified time period to create indices of average income; and rank orders the regions within the selected set according to their indices of average income.
COMPUTING TIMING INTERVALS FOR VEHICLES THROUGH DIRECTIONAL ROUTE CORRIDOR
A system computes a timing interval between high-capacity vehicles (HCVs) for each of a plurality of HCV corridors within a geographic region, each respective HCV corridor of the plurality of HCV corridors including a start area. For each respective HCV corridor, the system transmits, via a network communication interface, (i) first data to a first computing device associated with a first HCV, the first data indicating the start area of the respective HCV corridor, and a first start time for the first HCV, and (ii) second data to a second computing device associated with a second HCV, the second data indicating the start area of the respective HCV corridor and a second start time for the second HCV, wherein the first start time for the first HCV and the second start time for the second HCV are based on the computed timing interval for the respective HCV corridor.
Method of collating, abstracting, and delivering worldwide viewpoints
The present invention provides a system and method for presenting global issues to users and followers of a social media platform, allowing the users and followers to provide viewpoints on the global issues, ensuring that the users providing the viewpoints are authentic, and analyzing the various viewpoints to develop statistical data including the location of those providing viewpoints. The present invention also allows a user to present a global issue for consideration by users of the platform, for example, a social media internet-based website, and allows followers of the user to provide their viewpoints on such global issue. Simultaneously, the location of said followers will be collected and collated along with their responses.
SURVEY PANELIST UTILIZATION
A facility for assembling a list of survey qualification questions to present to a person is described. The facility first initializes the list to be empty. The facility adds to the initialized list a survey qualification question for a survey elected by the person. Until the list reaches a predetermined size, repeats the following: for each of a group of candidate survey qualification questions, for each of the survey qualification questions on the list, the facility determines an asymmetric overlap score for the candidate survey qualification question with the survey qualification question on the list; among the determined asymmetric overlap scores, the facility determining a lowest one, and moves one or more survey qualification questions from the group of candidate survey qualification questions to the list.
SELECTING A SPECIFIC WAREHOUSE LOCATION FOR DISPLAYING AN INVENTORY OF AVAILABLE ITEMS TO A USER OF AN ONLINE CONCIERGE SYSTEM
An online concierge system allows users to order items from a warehouse having multiple physical locations, allowing a user to order items at any given warehouse location. To select a warehouse location for a warehouse selected by a user, the online concierge system identifies a set of items that the user has a threshold likelihood of purchasing from prior orders by the user. For each of a set of warehouse locations, the online concierge system applies a machine-learned item availability model to each item of the identified set. From the availabilities of items of the set at each warehouse location of the set, the online concierge system selects a warehouse location. The online concierge system identifies an inventory of items from the selected warehouse location to the user for inclusion in an order.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND PROGRAMMED PRODUCT FOR LOCATION BASED AGGREGATION OF PURCHASER DEMAND AND REVERSE BIDDING BY SELLERS IN RESPONSE TO THE AGGREGATED DEMAND
A computer-implemented system and method for aggregating purchaser demand for products or services in a common geographical area within a common time period and providing for a reverse auction for sellers to bid on the aggregated demand. A computer system is provided as a server for seller computer systems and purchaser computer systems so as to provide algorithmic determination of demand aggregates based on requests-for-quotes (RFQs) received from a plurality of purchaser computer systems and a reverse auction platform allowing a plurality of seller computer systems associated with sellers of products or services within the geographical area and time period associated with the demand aggregates to place bids on the demand aggregates.
Monitoring information processing systems utilizing co-clustering of strings in different sets of data records
An apparatus includes a processing device configured to obtain first and second sets of data records, each data record comprising a string associated with an attribute. The processing device is also configured to generate a similarity matrix, wherein entries of the similarity matrix comprise values characterizing similarity between respective pairs of the strings comprising a first string from a data record in the first set and a second string from a data record in the second set. The processing device is further configured to construct a graph network based on the similarity matrix comprising edges connecting pairs of the data records based on values of entries in the similarity matrix, perform a clustering operation on the graph network to identify clusters, and to initiate remedial action responsive to identifying a given cluster comprising at least one data record from each of the first and second sets of data records.
