Another embodiment of this invention preferably includes a centralized data base for retrieving closing and current auction prices for determining the value of, and best method for the auctioning of various items. A method, and corresponding system, employs machine learning to predict a plurality of output targets corresponding to a plurality of input attributes for nodes on a telecommunications network. Each node represents a user with no or limited Internet access desiring broadband communications. The target can be set to a measure of the likelihood of broadband access being provided for a particular node. The method and corresponding system includes steps and apparatus for: defining the attributes in relation to telecommunications broadband service for a node, each node having associated informational content; defining the targets as predictive outcomes relating to telecommunications broadband service for a node; assigning each attribute a value based on interpretation of informational content extracted from a node; determining targets corresponding to the attributes using a machine learning algorithm; and reporting the targets in response to queries. In an exemplary environment, a decision tree analysis is used, where each node is represented by a plurality of attributes, and each attribute is used to recursively effect a split of informational content pertaining to it, until a measure of gain as between the nodes is optimized. The target value for each node is thereby determined. The list of input attributes includes geographical factors, a socio-economic factors, political factors, educational factors, technology factors, external factors and telecommunications factors.

The process of loading traffic into COTS Web Analytics platform from clickstream data relates to: (1) the process of discovering ecommerce sales by looking for specific tracking beacons in clickstream or resource stream and loading them into a COTS web analytics platform; (2) a process of discovering website “goals” by looking for clusters of tracking “beacon” activity in clickstream or resource stream data; and (3) a process of unlocking the search term that a website visitor typed into a search engine immediately prior to visiting that website when web analytics platforms can't see that data for many searches (99%+) having all of the features described above.

Computer-implemented methods and systems are provided that monitor brand performance in a holistic manner by calculating brand scores for a set of competitive brand names over time and in different geographical territories through disparate mass media and digital media channels. The methods and systems take into account i) different influence factors that pertain to a brand's influence on consumer behavior in the different media channels over time and in different geographical territories as well as ii) the exposure (spending) that use the brand in the media channels and the geographical territories over time. In embodiments, the brand score for a given brand can be calculated by combining influence factor scores and an exposure factor score using a set of weights derived from statistical modeling of brand performance in a brand category and relevant geographical territory. Other systems and methods for monitoring and evaluating brand performance are disclosed and claimed.
