Multi-modal transportation system

Methods and systems for detecting when users deviate from a provided transportation route and for correcting the transportation route in response to such user deviations is presented. In one embodiment, a method is provided including detecting a changed condition for a transportation route between a first location and a second location. The transportation route may include multiple transportation segments. A first transportation segment designating a first modality may be identified, wherein the changed condition decreases a likelihood that vehicles associated with the first modality will be available to service the first transportation segment. In response, a second transportation segment designating a second modality different from the first modality is generated. The first transportation segment is then replaced with the second transportation segment in the transportation route.

GENERATING CLUSTERS OF GEOGRAPHIC REGIONS FOR EVALUATION OF DIFFERENT CONDITIONS BASED ON ACTIVE SHOPPERS FULFILLING ORDERS IN DIFFERENT GEOGRAPHIC REGIONS
20230153751 · 2023-05-18 ·

An online concierge system evaluates different parameters for order fulfillment in different geographic regions and evaluates order fulfillment in the different geographic regions to assess the different parameters. However, shoppers may fulfill orders in different geographic regions, causing spillover where order fulfillment by a shopper is affected by different parameters. To reduce spillover but still obtain a large number of zones for testing, the online concierge system generates a graph of geographic regions, with connections between geographic regions based on shoppers who fulfill orders in different geographic regions. The online concierge system generates a cluster including geographic regions connected to each other with a connection satisfying one or more criteria indicating at least a threshold percentage of shoppers fulfilling orders in each of the connected geographic regions.

AUTOMATIC, PERSONALIZED, AND EXPLAINABLE APPROACH FOR MEASURING, MONITORING, AND IMPROVING DATA EFFICACY

A method of determining efficacy of a dataset includes receiving data from a data source, wherein the data comprises a plurality of fields of unknown efficacy; mapping the data based on a plurality of data quality metrics and based on attributes of the plurality of fields wherein meta-features for the data are obtained; predicting a value for each of the plurality of data quality metrics using a ML model that takes the meta-features as input, wherein the value indicates whether a corresponding data quality metric is suitable for measuring efficacy of the fields; selecting a data quality metric based on the value, wherein the data quality metric measures an efficacy of the fields; and monitoring the efficacy of the fields in the data received from the data source based on the data quality metric.

Systems and methods for adaptive route optimization for learned task planning

An adaptive mapping (AM) computing device having at least one processor in communication with at least one memory device is provided. The AM computing device may be configured to retrieve a plurality of tasks associated with a user, and retrieve geographic mapping data. The AM computing device may also generate a route model based upon the retrieved plurality of tasks and the retrieved geographic mapping data. The AM computing device may execute the route model to determine an optimal route, and transmit, to the user, an optimized travel plan based upon the optimal route.

Systems and Methods for Locating Merchant Terminals Based on Transaction Data

Systems and methods are provided for use in locating one or more merchant terminals. One example method generally includes accessing, by a computing device, interaction data for at least one interaction between a merchant and a user at a merchant terminal, where the interaction data includes a temporal indicator. In addition, the method includes receiving, by the computing device, location data associated with the at least one interaction and matching the interaction to the location data, based on the temporal indicator in the interaction data. The method then includes, in response to matching the interaction data to the location data, identifying, by the computing device, a location indicated by the location data as an actual location of the merchant terminal.

DISTRIBUTING ITEMS USING MULTIMODAL DELIVERY SYSTEMS

Intermodal vehicles may be loaded with items and an aerial vehicle, and directed to travel to areas where demand for the items is known or anticipated. The intermodal vehicles may be coupled to locomotives, container ships, road tractors or other vehicles, and equipped with systems for loading one or more items onto the aerial vehicle, and for launching or retrieving the aerial vehicle while the intermodal vehicles are in motion. The areas where the demand is known or anticipated may be identified on any basis, including but not limited to past histories of purchases or deliveries to such areas, or events that are scheduled to occur in such areas. Additionally, intermodal vehicles may be loaded with replacement parts and/or inspection equipment, and configured to conduct repairs, servicing operations or inspections on aerial vehicles within the intermodal vehicles, while the intermodal vehicles are in motion.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SELECTION, FILTERING OR PRESENTATION OF AVAILABLE SALES OUTLETS IN A DISTRIBUTED NETWORKED COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT USING SPATIAL AND GEOGRAPHY BASED METRICS

Systems, methods and computer program products for selecting dealers based on characteristics of the dealers and the user. A vehicle data system collects dealer location and historical transaction data from external data sources and generates and stores an eligibility table that identifies a set of eligible dealers for each combination of user location and vehicle make. Eligible dealers are determined from the eligibility table using a location and vehicle make identified from a user request. Scores are determined for each eligible dealer based on a dealer scoring model using a binary choice model in the form of a logistic regression of market share, inventory, close rate, price and distance, and dealers are ranked by these scores. A presentation of dealers selected by rank and by closest location to the user is generated and provided to the user via an interface running on a computing device.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR GENERATING A SUPPLY INDEX INDICATIVE OF A QUALITY OF AVAILABLE SUPPLY OF MERCHANT PROMOTIONS

A method, apparatus, and computer program, each configured for gauging the health or quality of available supply, are provided. An exemplary method for generating a supply index indicative of a quality or health of supply by calculating and aggregating a supply metric calculated from a perspective of each of a plurality of individual customers to identify those locations where an increase in supply would most positively impact value to customers comprises identifying a location of a user, identifying at least a portion of each of one or more renderable data objects available to a user located at the location, applying a first weight to each of the portion of each of the one or more renderable data objects, calculating a total of each of the weights, applying a coverage cap to determine a capped total, and generating a supply index comprised of aggregated capped totals.

Efficient feature selection for predictive models using semantic classification and generative filtering

Systems and methods provide for feature selection that combines semantic classification and generative filtering with forward selection. Features from an original feature set are divided into feature subsets corresponding to ranked semantic classes. Additionally, low quality features are removed from consideration. Features are selected for a reduced feature set by iteratively processing the feature subsets using forward selection in an order corresponding to the ranking of the semantic classes. The reduced feature set is used to generate a predictive model.

MERCHANT ADVERTISEMENT INFORMED ITEM LEVEL DATA PREDICTIONS

Systems as described herein may include predicting item level data based on merchant advertisement information. A transaction pattern may be detected. The merchant advertisement information may be retrieved and parsed to generate a price list. A number of transactions that each shares a common payment amount may be determined and the number may reach a threshold value. Items from the price list may be matched with the common payment amount. The transaction records may be updated to indicate likely item level transaction information. In a variety of embodiments, the likely transaction information may be presented to a user.
