Method and system for cloud funding using a web based social network
A social media website which allocates points to participants for a variety of activities by either the participant or by others, who may be other participants. Allocation of points results in rankings of participants, wherein higher ranked participants are allocated more opportunities for accumulating advertising revenue. Ads placed throughout the system's various pages may have their potential conversion value ascribed to designated groups or persons, as the ranked participant desires. Retained revenues may be used by a participant to purchase goods from participating vendors.
DISTRIBUTED MUSTER FOR OCEAN-GOING VESSELS
Distributed muster includes distributing to different mobile devices an identity of an assigned muster location of an ocean-going vessel, and associating each mobile device both with a corresponding passenger of the ocean-going vessel, and also with the assigned muster location. Thereafter, a timer initiates that defines a period during which a muster drill must be completed by all of the passengers and, in response, a message is transmitted to each mobile device that the muster drill has commenced. During the period, as each mobile device is sensed within a geographically defined area of a correspondingly assigned muster location, a record of the completion of the muster drill by the passenger associated with the sensed mobile device is recorded in the memory. As well, subsequent to a lapsing of the timer, a listing is displayed of any passenger not recorded as having completed the muster drill.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IMPLEMENTING A REACTIVE AND TRANSACTIVE ECOSYSTEM
A system and method are provided for implementing a uniquely automated reactive ecosystem to provide users/consumers a secure environment in which to engage streaming content in a reportable manner to an advertising component. Communications are established between a user electronic data exchange device and a centralized server that coordinates exchange of query information with a user regarding content of an associated linear television or live stream event. The disclosed systems and methods uniquely adapt data exchange to score a user's attention to data content, including advertising content, and to provide to the user an incentive scheme for attention to the content of portions of the linear television or live stream event.
Systems and methods for implementing user-responsive reactive advertising via voice interactive input/output devices
A system and method are provided for employing voice-activated user interfaces to determine user attention to particularly-presented advertising content by collecting user contact/consumer information, presenting content to the user/consumer, and proposing at least one question, inquiry or query to the user regarding the presented content, the at least one inquiry or query calling for a user/consumer response to be collected, at least one of (a) the user/consumer contact information and (b) the user/consumer response to the question, inquiry or query being collected by the system via a voice-activated user interface and evaluated to assess a level of engagement of the user/consumer with the advertising content. The disclosed systems and methods uniquely provide voice-activated user interface coupled with display of certain advertising content in a manner that promotes user/consumer attention to the advertising content and ease of interaction with the presentation system.
Fast and versatile graphical scoring device and method
A graphical user interface presents an image to a user and two labeled axes of that image corresponding to evaluations by the user of the image or of something represented by the image. The user moves a computer mouse or other input device to select a single location on the image. The display screen provides immediate feedback to the user of the location currently being pointed to by the input device, such as the x and y coordinates currently being moused over. The user then selects the location on the screen being pointed to, thus inputting his two dimensional evaluation. Optionally, based on the user's multidimensional evaluation, commercial offers such as coupons can then be presented to the user based on the user's likes and dislikes.
Post sale referral tracking
An e-commerce system is provided that tracks purchase transaction across multiple client devices. The e-commerce system stores hop information describing when a customer is exposed to a product of a vendor through an affiliate who advertises the vendor's products. The e-commerce system determines from the stored hop information which affiliate or affiliates to compensate for the sale of a product. This allows the e-commerce system to determine, after the sale, whether additional affiliates need to be compensated for the sale of the product based on the hop information.
PREDICTING APPLICATION CONVERSION USING EYE TRACKING
Techniques are disclosed for determining application experience of a user. One embodiment presented herein includes a computer-implemented method, which includes receiving, at a computing device, eye tracking data of a user interacting with at least a first page of an application. The computer-implemented method further includes determining, based at least on the eye tracking data, at least a current user experience regarding the first page. The computer-implemented method further includes predicting, based on evaluating the current user experience, that the user is likely to discontinue use of the application. The computer-implemented method further includes determining, based at least on the prediction, an intervention that reduces a likelihood of the user discontinuing use of the application, and interacting with the user according to the intervention.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS FOR RANKING AND REWARDING USERS THAT COMPLETE REVIEWS
The present disclosure relates to a system, method, and apparatus that incentivizes users to give thoughtful answers when completing reviews by only rewarding, a portion of users that complete the reviews. An item (e.g., an advertisement, product design, or logo) may be presented to a number of users along with a query about the item. Answers may be received from the users and a comparison value may be calculated for the answers. A deviation value may then be determined for each user between the answer the user provided and the comparison value. The number of users may then be ranked according to their respective deviation values with a lower deviation value corresponding to a lower ranking. One or more users with the lowest rankings may then be provided with a reward.
Methods and apparatus for providing information to a user of a mobile device relating to a contemplated transaction
Some embodiments of the invention provide tools for promoting a user's financial well-being by encouraging positive financial behavior through timely feedback, counseling and instruction. For example, some embodiments of the invention may provide real-time (e.g., in response to a transaction being performed, or in response to the user indicating he/she is contemplating a transaction) useful analysis and advice designed to encourage the type of ongoing financial behavior that leads over time to financial well-being. In some embodiments, transactions performed by the user during an ongoing period may be compared to transactions performed during one or more prior periods. It may be determined, as a result of the comparing, that the user is contemplating performing a transaction, and a promotional offer relating to the contemplated transaction may be sent to the user's mobile device in response to the determining.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INCORPORATING CROSS PLATFORM METRICS FOR INCREASED USER ENGAGEMENT
Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for determining a consumer's engagement with a brand of the business by tracking the consumer's activities in multiple platforms, such as social media platforms, content platforms, gaming platforms, other retailers, streaming video providers, service providers, etc. Method are described for probabilistically granting users variations of items that are otherwise being acquired. The granting may be random, but probabilities may be boosted based on the consumer's activities in the platforms.
