Point of interaction loyalty currency redemption in a transaction

Multiple different non-financial loyalty currencies held by different issuers are used by a consumer as financial tender for a transaction with a merchant. Each issuer pays to a primary issuer the financial currency value of the non-financial loyalty currencies being held in return for a corresponding reduction of the balance of non-financial loyalty currency. For each reduced balance, the primary issuer adds an equivalent primary loyalty currency to a primary loyalty account for the consumer. The primary issuer pays the merchant for the transaction in financial currency and makes an equivalent reduction in the balance of the primary loyalty currency. The financial value of each loyalty currency may be dependent upon its use in a transaction with a competitor of a merchant supplying loyalty currency to the consumer.

Computer interfaces and authentication protocols for securely linking and transferring content between online accounts

Some examples described herein relate to computer interfaces and authentication protocols for securely linking and transferring content between online accounts. In one example, a system can provide a graphical user interface (GUI) with multiple interactive interface pages, through which a user can selectively transfer content from a first online account to a second online account. For example, the user can select to transfer points from the first online account to the second online account. The system can then transfer of the selected content from the first online account to the second online account. To perform this transfer, the system can employ multiple layers of authentication and other security mechanisms. For example, the system can employ two or more layers of authentication and a unique external identifier to perform the transfer. Following the transfer, the GUI can be updated to reflect the results of the transfer.

Multi-tenant loyalty platform

The present disclosure provides a multi-tenant loyalty platform for selective configuration of loyalty programs in a multi-tenant environment. An example platform comprises a processor and a memory storing instructions which, when executed by the processor, configure the multi-tenant loyalty platform to: cause presentation of loyalty program options to a first tenant in a multi-tenant environment; receive, from the first tenant, first order data relating to a selected program configuration; cause presentation of loyalty program options to a second tenant; receive, from the second tenant, second order data different from the first order data; store the first and second order data in a loyalty program data structure that includes loyalty program rules specific to each of the first and second tenants and the respective first and second loyalty programs; and configure the first and second loyalty programs using data stored in the loyalty program data structure.

Embodiments provide a method of integrating a loyalty program with a payment card of a customer. The method includes sending, by a merchant terminal, a payment transaction request to a server system associated with a payment network. The payment transaction request comprises a payment transaction amount to be paid to a merchant account from an issuer account of the customer and a loyalty program identifier of the loyalty program associated with the merchant loyalty card. The method includes receiving a notification comprising a payment transaction approval message and a machine-readable script through the payment network. The machine-readable script comprises the loyalty program identifier and is executable by the merchant terminal. The method further includes storing the loyalty program associated with the merchant loyalty card with existing customer data in the payment card of the customer by executing the machine-readable script thereby integrating the loyalty program with the payment card.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXCHANGING ELECTRONIC TOKENS

Methods and systems are presented for providing a token exchange framework that enables exchanges of reward tokens corresponding to different reward systems and/or different merchants. The token exchange framework includes a blockchain for storing transaction data associated with transactions of reward tokens. During the onboarding process, reward systems associated with different merchants may be connected to the blockchain of the token exchange framework via one or more bridges. Reward tokens may be issued to represent reward data corresponding to the different reward systems, and can be freely exchanged within the token exchange framework via the blockchain. When a transaction for redeeming a reward is received, reward tokens in the blockchain can be converted into reward data corresponding to the merchant's reward system and process the transaction with the merchant using the converted reward data.

Network centric loyalty system

A network centric system that enables participation by any number of entities including sponsors, issuers, merchants, portable devices, and acceptance point devices in one or more loyalty programs is provided. Any combination of entities may be specified for different loyalty programs.

REWARD POINT TRANSFERS USING BLOCKCHAIN

A reward points transfer system and process using blockchain is disclosed. Transaction account issuers may write reward transfer messages to the blockchain to initiate a transfer of reward points for a transaction account holders account to one or more rewards partners. Rewards partners may retrieve the reward transfer messages from the blockchain, and write a reward transfer response message to the blockchain to confirm receipt of the reward points transfer and to update the status of the transfer. The transaction account issuers and rewards partners may encrypt the messages and generate hashes based on the messages prior to writing to the blockchain, to ensure that the messages are not tampered with during the transfer process.

An online concierge system receives an order from a customer with a list of items and allocates the order to a retailer at which the items can be picked. The retailer is associated with a payment processing system having a corresponding tokenization process. The online concierge system uses the tokenization process for the retailer to generate a payment token for the customer based on stored payment data and transmits the payment token to the payment processing system. The online concierge system determines a first payment amount from the customer to the retailer based on items picked at the retailer and a second payment amount from the retailer to the online concierge system. The payment processing system charges the customer a sum of the first payment amount and the second payment amount using the payment token. The online concierge system receives the second payment amount from the payment processing system.
