A method includes performing operations as follows on at least one processor: receiving credentials from a shopper, the credentials being associated with a purchase from a merchant, receiving an open approval for advancing funds for the purchase from a financial institution, matching the open approval with the credentials received from the shopper, and notifying the merchant that payment has been approved.
Dynamically changing a tag's displayed content responsive to an individual's proximity thereto
Systems and methods for dynamically changing displayed content of a tag coupled to an item. The methods comprising: detecting when an individual is in proximity to the tag; triggering operations, by a computing device remote from the tag, to obtain customer related information associated with the individual, when a detection is made that the individual is in proximity to the tag; determining, by the computing device, a price discount for the item based on the customer related information which was previously obtained; and dynamically changing the displayed content of the tag to include the price discount while the individual is still in proximity to the tag.
Linking an advantage communication system to a pre-existing product
A merchant point-of-sale (“POS”) system architecture is provided. The POS system architecture may include a POS terminal including a POS receiver, a virtual display and a transmitter, and a transaction processing network including a network receiver and processor. The network receiver may be configured to receive a payment authorization request. The virtual display may be configured to display selectable options. The options may be displayed prior to processing the payment authorization request. The selectable options may include a first and second option. The first option may be to apply a merchant-funded rewards program network to the payment authorization request. The second option may be to continue to apply the default issuer funded rewards program network to the payment authorization request. When the first option is selected, a processor may be configured to terminate the issuer funded reward program network and activate the merchant-funded rewards program network.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR REWARD POINTS REDEMPTION FOR COMPUTER-BASED ACTIVITY
A system and method for a user to have a credit card, debit card, or stored value card that is linked to their reward points account in such a way as to permit them to pay for purchases with a merchant by using the card, wherein the merchant uses the existing credit card payment infrastructure as if payment were being made/authorized by a bank linked to the credit card or debit card account, but in fact the card is linked to the user's reward points account. In this manner, the user and merchant can use the reward points account to pay for purchases in a seamless manner whereby reward points are used for consideration rather than or as a supplement to cash and traditional credit.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TOKENIZATION OF REWARD DATA
A method for tokenizing non-payment identifier, comprising storing a plurality of account profiles, wherein each account profile is a structured data set related to a transaction account including at least a non-payment identifier, at least one of a personal account number (PAN), and quantity of points affiliated with the non-payment identifier. Receiving a data signal from a consumer communication device, wherein the data signal may be superimposed with a tokenization request, the tokenization request including at least a non-payment identifier. Provisioning, by a generation module of the processing server, a token linking to the non-payment identifier. Transmitting, by a transmitting device of the processing server, the token linked to the non-payment identifier to the consumer communication device.
METHOD OF MANAGING FRANCHISES USING CREDIT-CARD PAYMENT SYSTEM
A method of managing franchises using a credit-card payment system is provided. The method includes (a) inputting a goods selection or service use statement of a customer at a franchise to a franchise client to calculate an estimated payment amount, inputting member information of the customer to the franchise client, and transmitting the member information to a customer information server of a head office to request member authentication; (b) receiving, by the customer information server, a member authentication request signal for the customer, comparing the member authentication request signal with previously stored member information of the customer to perform authentication processing, and transmitting the result of authentication processing to the franchise client; (c) inputting credit-card payment information for the estimated payment amount to the franchise client, requesting a card company for payment approval, and receiving approval information; (d) outputting selection items for a satisfaction survey for service provided by the franchise through a sign pad connected to the franchise client; (e) when customer response data for the survey selection items is received from the sign pad, analyzing and statistically processing customer satisfaction evaluation information for the franchise according to the selection items, and storing the resultant customer satisfaction evaluation information in a database of the customer information server; and (f) switching the sign pad to a screen for obtaining a digital signature.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING LOCATION BASED MULTIPLIER NOTIFICATIONS
A computer server system comprises a communications module; a processor coupled with the communications module; and a memory coupled to the processor and storing processor-executable instructions which, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to receive, via the communications module and from a computing device, a signal including location data indicating a location of a user; determine, based on the location data, that the user is located within a threshold distance of a particular merchant; generate a notification indicating a particular multiplier for the particular merchant; and send, via the communications module and to the computing device, a signal causing the computing device to display the notification, the notification including an option to accept the particular multiplier for the particular merchant.
Automated cause management
A method, system and computer program for providing a loyalty engine for automated cause marketing. The method can include a charity linking merchants and sponsors to the loyalty system. Once the merchants and the sponsors are linked and the members are registered merchant defined rules can instruct a loyalty engine as to the level of donations in connection with one or more transactions by a member that is associated to the loyalty program. The loyalty system can include a reporting facility to allow the merchant to track transactions with members in a number of ways. A system is also provided that can consist of a server including the loyalty engine and a charity utility. The charity utility can provide the functions of the method and can be linked to the networked server.
Method, system, and computer program for attracting local and regional businesses to an automated cause marketing environment
The present invention teaches a system, method and computer program for enabling local or regional merchants to participate in an automated cause marketing (ACM) program. The ACM program that may provide benefits to several parties involved in fundraising for one or more supported organizations, including one or more supported organizations, advertising providers, merchants, and individuals. Merchants are able to access enhanced analytics regarding their transactions with members and non-members of the ACM program and can use these enhanced analytics to realize an increased number of or revenue from transactions with members. The present invention also teaches a system and method for enabling advertising providers to acquire and analyze data associated with consumers-merchant transactions. The present invention provides the above advantages optimally using a mobile device. Furthermore, the present invention, may enable a member to disseminate its charitable preferences to members of its electronic social networks.
SYSTEM FOR MANAGING A LOYALTY PROGRAM MARKETPLACE
A computer system detects a request to process a transaction corresponding to a first user and a first merchant, wherein the first user is associated with a first user account of a plurality of user accounts associated with a transaction platform. In response to detecting the request to process the transaction, the computer system identifies that a second user account of the plurality of user accounts includes a first amount of rewards corresponding to the first merchant. The computer system determines an optimal transaction path for obtaining, from the second user account, at least a portion of the first amount of rewards. In response to determining the optimal transaction path, the computer system utilizes the optimal transaction path to obtain the at least the portion of the first amount of rewards, and processes the transaction by utilizing the at least the portion of the first amount of rewards.
