ALTERNATIVE PROCESSING NETWORK FOR CUSTOM REWARDS TRANSACTIONS
A merchant point-of-sale (POS) system architecture is provided. Systems and methods are provided for enabling an alternative processing network for a custom rewards transaction performed at a POS. A custom rewards transaction may be a transaction in which a customer opts-in to a merchant-funded rewards (MFR) program. Opting-in to the MFR program may terminate the customer's default enrollment in a conventional issuer-bank funded rewards program. Opting-in to the MFR program may also reroute the processing of the transaction from a conventional processing network to the alternative processing network. The alternative processing network may incur transaction fees to a merchant that are lower than the transaction fees of the conventional processing network.
CRYPTO-CURRENCY REWARDS NETWORK
A network for maintaining and disbursing rewards on behalf of a plurality of anonymous crypto-currency holders is provided. The network may be in communication with a crypto-currency platform. The receiver may be configured to receive purchase information from the crypto-currency platform. The purchase information may be related to at least one purchase performed using crypto-currency at a POS device. The purchase may be performed by at least one of the plurality of anonymous crypto-currency holders. The purchase information may include a purchase price. The network may include a transmitter for transmitting reward information to the POS device. The transmitting reward information may include transmitting at least one an anonymous bearer coupon, a reduction in the purchase price or a crypto-currency refund or reward.

IDENTIFIER-BASED COUPON DISTRIBUTION
A client device detects a QR code (or NFC tag). The client device decodes the QR code. The client device determines that the data encoded within the QR code includes a URL. Based on the URL, the client device sends a first request to a first server identified by the URL. In response to the first request, the client device receives from the first server data configured to cause the client device to display, to a user of the client device, at least one of: a video or an interactive web page. Responsive to the data encoded in the QR code, the client device sends to a coupon server: identification data associated with a user of the client device, and a request for the coupon server to distribute a digital coupon for an offer associated with an identifier encoded within the QR code to an account associated with the user.
Interactive use and athletic performance monitoring and reward method, system, and computer program product

The present invention includes and system and method for measuring, tracking, and recording use of the product, preferably related to the athletic performance of an athlete, using a portable, remote device; transferring that data from the remote device to a common location, such as an Internet web site service; calculating, assigning, and tracking rewards based on the level of use determined from the data; and allowing the user to redeem his or her rewards or compare his or her performance level with other athletes using other remote devices.
MULTI-RESTAURANT FACIAL RECOGNITION SYSTEM
A multi-restaurant facial recognition includes one or more cameras, first point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and a backend server. The cameras are disposed within a first retail establishment and are configured to capture one or more images of a patron within the first retail establishment. The POS terminals are also within the first retail establishment and one or more of the first POS terminals receives the one or more images and transmits a request over a network for enrollment of the patron in a loyalty program. The backend server receives the request, enrolls the patron in the loyalty program, and stores loyalty program data, where the backend server may recognize and provide the loyalty program data in response to subsequent requests for recognition of the patron from any one of a plurality of second POS terminals that are in other retail establishments that are related to the first retail establishment.
RESTAURANT FRAUD DETECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD
A restaurant fraud detection apparatus includes one or more cameras, point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and a backend server. The cameras are disposed capture one or more images of a patron within a retail establishment. The POS terminals are coupled to the cameras, where a physical payment method is provided by the patron and entered into one of the POS terminals, and where one or more of the POS terminals receives the images and transmits a request over a network for recognition of the patron. The backend server is configured to receive the request, to access loyalty program data comprising a stored payment method that corresponds to the physical payment method, and to transmit an alert to the POS terminals that indicates the patron is not recognized and that use of the physical payment method may be fraudulent because the stored payment method is associated with a different patron.
