The display module is configured to receive the modified encoded data, to display information based at least in part on the modified encoded data, and to provide at least one mechanism for a user to perform a task related to at least one of the stimuli. Techniques described herein include a platform and process enabling an electronic appliance to locally store payment credentials, loyalty point information, receive price comparison information for an item, redeem rewards or loyalty points to determine a best offer for the item, and enable delivery of said item to a user with minimal user interaction. In some embodiments, an electronic appliance can receive a query for offers for an item, receive order information from a plurality of merchants about the item, and apply loyalty points to determine an offer for the item. Upon receiving confirmation the electronic appliance may transmit access credentials for ordering the item for delivery and updating the loyalty point information for the account utilized to purchase the item from the determined offer.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR ENHANCED PAYMENT AUTHENTICATION USING MERCHANT LOYALTY SCHEME
A computer-implemented method for enhancing payment transaction authentication using a merchant loyalty scheme is provided. The method is implemented using a verification computer device in communication with a memory. The method includes receiving an authentication request message for a payment transaction originating from an originating merchant for a cardholder. The authentication request message includes a reward redemption flag. The method also includes determining that an authentication challenge is needed based on the authentication request message, transmitting an authentication challenge to the user if the reward redemption flag is not set, determining that the authentication challenge may be bypassed based on the reward redemption flag if the reward redemption flag is set, generating an authentication response message based, at least in part, on at least one of reward redemption flag and the authentication challenge, and transmitting the authentication response message to the originating merchant.

Based on the received information, the LPM system is configured to identify one or more point categories, and update earned loyalty points of the member in each of the identified one or more point categories. The LPM system is further configured to provide the POS terminal with a redemption value to be applied to the sale.

A method for confirming post-authorization erasure of a transaction payment using reward points includes: storing account profiles including data related to reward accounts, each including an account identifier and point amount; receiving a transaction message associated with a payment transaction, the message including a specific account identifier and transaction amount; identifying a specific account profile that includes the specific account identifier; calculating a point cost based on the transaction amount; identifying an authorization reference key associated with the payment transaction and specific account profile; identifying a unique identifier associated with the authorization reference key; storing an authorization record including authorization reference key and unique identifier; generating a request message including the identified unique identifier one of: the point cost and transaction amount; and transmitting the request message to a consumer associated with the specific account profile.
