Customized website predictions for machine-learning systems
In one aspect, a request for web content is received from a user device communicatively coupled to the processing device via the network. In response to receiving the request, user information associated with the user is determined. Predicted responses of the user to each variation of a plurality of variations of the web content are determined using prediction models and the user information. The prediction models include one or more decision trees generated using a splitting criterion requiring a minimum number of positive responses to a variation and a minimum number of negative responses to the variation as a condition of considering the possible split. The variation determined to have a threshold likelihood of yielding a predicted positive response of the predicted responses is selected based on the user information. The variation is transmitted to the user device via the network.
System for creating managing and displaying multi-frame based ads on mobile devices
A method includes, but is not limited to any combination of: determining a plurality of third-party content elements based in part on information associated with a request for third-party content. The request for third-party content may be received from a web browser displaying a first webpage to a user. A first element from the plurality of determined third-party content elements is transmitted to the web browser. Upon receiving from the web browser a second request for third-party content including user interaction data with the first element, data associated with the determined plurality of third-party content elements is updated based at least in part on the user interaction data. A second third-party element from the plurality of updated third-party content elements is transmitted to the web browser.
Interaction bar for real-time interactions with content on a social networking system
A social networking system enables users to interact through a content item in real time by presenting an interaction bar to a user viewing a content item page associated with the content item. The social networking system presents the content item pages for content items along with a content item header. The content item header remains at a fixed position on the display of a viewing user's client device at the top of the display. If the social networking system receives an interaction with a content item, the social networking system can identify users who are viewing the content item page associated with the content item and present an interaction bar that describes the interaction in the content item header. To determine whether to present an interaction bar to a viewing user, the social networking system can calculate an affinity score of a viewing user for the interaction.
Group recommendations based on external factors
A system and method for providing a group recommendation is disclosed. First a group having at least one member is defined. A group profile having at least one activity and a set of conditions for the activity are created. Based on the set of conditions a corresponding set of trigger events are identified. A number of electronic data sources are monitored for information related to set of conditions. The monitored set of conditions are compared against the set of trigger events. If the threshold between the set of conditions and the set of trigger events is met, then an alert is generated that is presented to the members of the group.
Predictive media content delivery
Examples of techniques for predictive media content delivery are disclosed. In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a computer-implemented method for predictive media content delivery includes identifying, by the processing device, a customer approaching a kiosk. The method further includes determining, by the processing device, an estimated duration that the customer is expected to be in proximity to the kiosk. The method further includes presenting, by the processing device, media content to the customer that has a playback duration commensurate with the estimated duration that the customer is expected to be in proximity to the kiosk.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PERSONALIZED NAVIGATION INSIDE A BUSINESS ENTERPRISE
Systems and methods for tracking movement of individuals through a building receive, by one or more RF nodes disposed near an entrance to the building, RF signals from RF-transmitting mobile devices carried by persons near the entrance, capture an image of the persons while they are near the entrance, determine an identity and relative distance of each RF-transmitting mobile device from each RF node based on information associated with the RF signals received by that RF node, detect humans in the image, determine a relative depth of each human in the image, and assign the identity of each RF-transmitting mobile device to one of the humans detected in the image based on the relative distance of each RF-transmitting mobile device from each RF node and the relative depth of each human in the image, thereby identifying each individual who to be tracked optically as that individual moves throughout the building.
Alternative processing network for custom rewards transactions
A merchant point-of-sale (“POS”) system architecture is provided. Systems and methods are provided for enabling an alternative processing network for a custom rewards transaction performed at a POS. A custom rewards transaction may be a transaction in which a customer opts-in to a merchant-funded rewards (MFR) program. Opting-in to the MFR program may terminate the customer's default enrollment in a conventional issuer-bank funded rewards program. Opting-in to the MFR program may also reroute the processing of the transaction from a conventional processing network to the alternative processing network. The alternative processing network may incur transaction fees to a merchant that are lower than the transaction fees of the conventional processing network.
Method and system for prioritizing targeted advertisements
A method, device, and system for prioritizing insertion of targeted advertisements within advertisement time slots of a video program are provided. CPE detects whether or not an electronic personal device of a viewer of the video program is within a pre-defined viewing range of a display of the video program while the video program is being played and thereafter determines whether or not a detected electronic personal device remains within the viewing range during an advertisement time slot within the video program during the playing of a targeted advertisement. The CPE is configured to increase a priority of insertion of a previously played targeted advertisement within a next or subsequent advertisement time slot within the video program if the electronic personal device of the viewer is determined not to remain within the viewing range during the previous playing of the targeted advertisement.
ADVERTISEMENT APPARATUS
[Problem] To make it possible to give notification of advertisements assumed to be highly effective and verify the effect of the advertisements in consideration of user's statuses and preference tendencies.
[Solving Means] An advertisement apparatus includes: means for acquiring user terminal identification information, user identification information, and user terminal record information including position information and operation record information on a user terminal; means for acquiring the user identification information and purchasing behavior information relevant to purchasing of an item/service that are acquired by a shop terminal provided in a real shop; storage means for storing the user terminal identification information, the user terminal record information, the purchasing behavior information, and user attribute information in association with each other by the user identification information; means for generating advertisement information on the basis of an analysis result obtained by analyzing the information stored in the storage means; and notification means for specifying the user terminal identification information and an advertisement application and giving notification of the advertisement information.
Image attribute processing system, image attribute processing apparatus, and method of processing image attributes
An information processing system includes circuitry configured to store, in a memory, one or more feature value patterns associated with appearance attribute of one or more groups of persons calculated from a plurality of acquired image data using machine learning, in which each one of the groups assumed to have a unique group value being different for each one of the groups, receive image data of a target person input as analysis target data, analyze an appearance attribute of the target person in the image data using the one or more feature value patterns associated with the appearance attribute of the one or more groups stored in the memory, and output a response corresponding to an analysis result of the appearance attribute of the target person.
