A method and system for bringing together online and offline advertising uses anonymous links that are associated with consumer data. The anonymous links allow processing without personally identifiable information (PII) in a secure environment. Data is matched using the anonymous links. The method and system allows a marketer to utilize offline data to precisely target advertisements without the use of PII, and to perform analytics concerning the use of the online advertisements to more precisely determine the effectiveness of multichannel marketing efforts.

A system is configured to receive a network resource request from a user device configured with a browsing application, wherein the request includes identification data associated with the user device. The system transmits, to a network resource provider, a request for the network resource, wherein the request transmitted to the network resource provider excludes identification data included in the request received from the user device. The system receives from the network resource provider a response, including a document comprising a field configured to receive payment information for an item purchase. The system receives from the browsing application an indication that an anonymous payment instrument, associated with a first entity different than the user, is to be used to purchase a first item at a first price. The system causes information regarding the anonymous payment instrument to be provided to the network resource provider.

A computer implemented method includes receiving anonymous entity information from a client device via a network. The anonymous entity information is used to register a user associated with the client device. User supplied anonymous information about the user is received from the network. Sensor signals from the client device are collected from the network. The user supplied anonymous information is combined with the sensor signals to produce an anonymized data package for the user. The anonymized data package is made accessible to vendor machines via the network. Transaction offers from the vendor machines are collected from the network. The transaction offers are supplied to the user device via the network. A selected transaction offer is received from the user device via the network. Network communication between the user device and a vendor machine associated with the selected transaction offer is coordinated.

A method for processing at least one piece of payment method data, implemented within a payment terminal having a secured processor and a secured processing memory. Such a method includes: obtaining at least one piece of data representing a payment method used to carry out a transaction, called a piece of payment method data; anonymizing the piece of payment method data, delivering a piece of current anonymous identification data; and transmitting the piece of current anonymous identification data to an application for processing loyalty data.

A method and apparatus for a commerce platform coordinating a purchase of a product sold by a merchant system through a third party application are described. The method may include receiving a notification from the third party application requesting to purchase a product from within the third party application, wherein the notification comprises an identifier for the product and an identifier for the merchant system that sells the product. The method may also include a product checkout interface having an appearance consistent with an appearance of a user interface of the third party application, and transmitting the product checkout interface generated by the commerce platform to a user device executing the third party application causing the third party application to render the product checkout interface within at least a portion of the user interface of the third party application.

A method for protecting personal data pursuant to behavioral factors unique to a first customer. The method includes: storing a customer profile of the first customer that includes transaction data from transactions with entities; providing a personal assistant that is configured to access the customer profile pursuant to engagement rules to conduct the transactions; updating the customer profile pursuant to a first new transaction; generating a predictor from the updated customer profile, the predictor including knowledge about the first customer derived from the updated customer profile including a behavioral factors attributable to the first customer given a characteristic related to the first new transaction; augmenting the customer profile by storing therein the predictor, wherein the predictor: modifies at least one of the rules of the engagement rules and links the behavioral factor to the characteristic of the first transaction.

A method for enabling anonymous shipment of a package containing goods purchased by a customer from a vendor for delivery to a customer and an address unknown to the vendor is provided. The method includes, storing personal information associated with the customer in a shipping intermediary's secure database including the actual name and associated intended delivery address, and generating a tokenized customer name representing the actual name along with a preferred intermediary address associated with the shipping intermediary. The tokenized customer name and the preferred intermediary address do not include the actual name and any of the intended delivery address information for the package. The method further includes providing to the vender the tokenized customer name and the preferred intermediary address in place of the actual name and the intended delivery address.
