A method for merchant-side tracking of customer selections includes receiving, via a user list script on a merchant webpage, a user selection of a product representation displayed on a UI of a user device. The method includes updating a user list with the user selection, the user list associated with a generic user representation. The method includes determining, based on a type of identifier associated with a user of the user device, to use a generic user representation with the user list. The method includes selecting, based on the generic user representation, an anonymous user flow type for tracking the user as an anonymous user of the merchant webpage. The anonymous user flow type associates the user device with the user list independently of associating the user with the merchant.
OBFUSCATED SERVICE PROVIDER IDENTITY DURING CLIENT SELECTION
A method for matching a client with a service provider is provided. The method includes receiving a request for a service from a client device, selecting one or more service providers based on the location indicated for the service, comparing the request to one or more profiles for the one or more service providers and to available services times, generating at least one bid for the service based on the one or more profiles, and sending the at least one bid to the client device. Sending the at least one bid includes obfuscating, to the client device, the identity of the one or more service providers corresponding to the at least one bid. The method also includes receiving from the client device a selection of one of the at least one bids and sending to the client device the specific identity of the one or more service providers.
Hosted payment service system and method
Various embodiments of a hosted payment service are disclosed. In some embodiments, a merchant can enable customer use of the payment service by adding a line or sequence of widget code to a web page, such as a shopping cart page, of the merchant's site. Thereafter, a user who is registered with the payment service can invoke the payment service and complete a purchase transaction directly from the merchant site. For example, while viewing a shopping cart page, the user may be able to securely interact with the payment service and complete the purchase transaction via a transaction display object that is incorporated into the shopping cart page. In some embodiments, the transaction display object prompts the registered customer to enter a secondary authentication input, and the payment service uses this input in combination with a browser cookie to authenticate the user.
