ENABLING FRICTIONLESS SHOPPING OF PRODUCTS FROM BULK PACKAGING
A method for identifying products removed from bulk packaging includes receiving one or more images acquired by a camera arranged to capture interactions between a shopper and one or more bulk packages each configured to contain a plurality of products, analyzing the one or more images to identify the shopper and a particular bulk package among the one or more bulk packages with which the identified shopper interacted, receiving an output from at least one sensor configured to monitor changes associated with the particular bulk package, analyzing the output to determine a quantity of products removed from the particular bulk package by the identified shopper, and updating a virtual shopping cart associated with the identified shopper to include the determined quantity of products and an indication of a product type associated with the particular bulk package.
Visual Indicator of Frictionless Status of Retail Shelves
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for providing a visual indicator indicative of a frictionless checkout status of at least a portion of a retail shelf. In one implementation, a method may comprise: receiving an output from one or more retail store sensors; based on the output from the one or more retail store sensors, determining a frictionless checkout eligibility status associated with the at least a portion of the retail shelf, wherein the frictionless checkout eligibility status is indicative of whether the at least a portion of the retail shelf includes one or more items eligible for frictionless checkout; and causing a display of an automatically generated visual indicator indicating the frictionless checkout eligibility status associated with the at least a portion of the retail shelf.
COMPUTER SYSTEMS FOR PEER-TO-PEER ONBOARDING TO AN ONLINE MARKETPLACE
A system and method may be provided for more efficient onboarding of entities to a marketplace. An existing entity in the marketplace may agree to become an agent of the owner of the marketplace. A request may be received from a new entity wishing to join the marketplace. The system and method may assign the existing entity to onboard the new entity. A digital image may be received of the existing entity and new entity and optional documentation of the new entity's credentials. The system may digitally link the first seller and second seller so that the first seller may receive a portion of the transaction values collected by the second seller going forward.
DYNAMIC PRODUCT AND PRODUCT REVIEW PRESENTATION BASED ON CANCELLATION AND RETURN PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS
Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, computer program product, and system for modifying a display of a product to emphasize feature that might cause a consumer to return a product. Receiving a new product that a consumer would like to view on a web browser on a consumer computing device and identifying at least one return feature about the new product that might cause the consumer to return the new product after it was purchased. Determining a return probability for the new product and determining, that the return probability is greater than or equal to a threshold value. Modifying a default product display for the new product to emphasize the identified at least one return feature of the new product.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTO-REPLENISHMENT OF PRODUCTS USING PRESSURE MAPPING SENSORS AND MACHINE LEARNING
Systems and methods for identifying, tracking usage of, and replenishing products on a shelf of a product storage unit include a pressure sensor array positioned on the shelf and configured to detect forces exerted on the pressure sensor array by each of the products located on the shelf. An electronic database stores reference pressure array data representative of a reference pressure data model relative to each of the products. A computing device obtains a pressure data set associated with a product that was captured by the pressure sensor array when the product was positioned on the pressure sensor array, and correlates the pressure data set associated with the product with the reference pressure array data stored in the electronic database to determine an identity of the product and a consumption level of the product, automatically replenishing the product when consumption of the product is above a set threshold.
SHOPPING FACILITY ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS
Apparatuses, components and methods are provided herein useful to provide assistance to customers and/or workers in a shopping facility. In some embodiments, a shopping facility personal assistance system comprises: a plurality of motorized transport units located in and configured to move through a shopping facility space; a plurality of user interface units, each corresponding to a respective motorized transport unit during use of the respective motorized transport unit; and a central computer system having a network interface such that the central computer system wirelessly communicates with one or both of the plurality of motorized transport units and the plurality of user interface units, wherein the central computer system is configured to control movement of the plurality of motorized transport units through the shopping facility space based at least on inputs from the plurality of user interface units.
DETERMINING GENERIC ITEMS FOR ORDERS ON AN ONLINE CONCIERGE SYSTEM
An online system provides options for selection by a user. The online system receives a query entered on a client device. The online system queries an item database to retrieve a set of items related to the query and assigns each item to a product category in a predefined taxonomy that maps items to product categories. The online system inputs each item into a prediction model trained to predict a probability that an item is available at a warehouse location. The online system determines that a first product category has low availability based on predicted probabilities for items in the first product category. Responsive to determining that a first product category has low availability, the online system generates a generic item for the first product category and sends a list of items including the generic item to the client device for display responsive to the query.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF USING CONVERSATIONAL AGENT TO COLLECT INFORMATION AND TRIGGER ACTIONS
Example embodiments provide a system that uses a conversational agent to collect information and publish the information on a network. A computer-implemented conversational agent establishes a communication session with a user and receives conversational information via a simulated conversation between the user and the computer-implemented conversational agent via the communication session, whereby the conversational information comprises information to be published. The computer-implemented conversational agent also receives, via a graphical user interface, an upload of an image that is associated with the information to be published. The computer-implemented conversational agent then causes publication of the information to be published and the uploaded image.
USING SCENARIOS TO MITIGATE SELLER RISK TO ENTER ONLINE PLATFORMS
A method may include generating, using a flow proportionalized graph, scores for platform sellers of an online platform. The flow proportionalized graph may include nodes corresponding to the platform sellers and buyers, and edges each connecting a buyer node corresponding to a buyer initiating a monetary transfer and a platform seller node corresponding to a platform seller receiving the monetary transfer. Each edge may have a weight that is a proportion of total monetary transfers by the buyer received by the platform seller. The method may further include matching, using the scores and a seller similarity metric, a non-platform seller with a platform seller, receiving a scenario for the platform seller to sell an item of the non-platform seller via the online platform, and generating a prediction regarding an outcome of the scenario by applying a model to scenarios.
