SYSTEM FOR PURCHASING GOODS

Disclosed herein is an autonomous system for autonomous purchase of a purchase order. The autonomous system comprises at least one processor and a memory comprising at least one non-transitory memory device. The memory stores a digital wallet comprising at least one payment vehicle for use in purchasing the purchase order. The memory also comprises instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the autonomous system to determine if the purchase order satisfies a set of purchase characteristics, decide to execute purchase of the purchase order upon fulfillment of a set of conditions for purchase and connect to a merchant terminal of at least one merchant through whom the purchase order can be fulfilled. The instructions further cause the processor to connect the digital wallet to a payment system through which payment for the purchase order can be made and purchasing the purchase order via the payment system using one or more payment vehicles of the at least one payment vehicle.

Account recommendations

A method and system for providing account recommendations is disclosed. A server system stores sales data for a first member, wherein sales data includes profile information for one or more individual customers. The sewer system analyzes the profile information for one or more of the individual customers to identify one attributes associated with the customers. The server system determines one or more additional members with member profiles that include the one or more identified attributes. For a respective additional member in the at least one of the determined additional members the server system determines, based on stored information about the respective additional member, an respective organization associated with the at least one determined additional member; and selects the respective organization as an account recommendation.

Systems, devices, and methods for providing passenger transport

Systems, apparatuses and methods for providing passenger transport are provided. A system for providing passenger transport includes a plurality of passenger carriers, a plurality of motorized transport units each configured to mechanically couple at least one of the plurality of passenger carriers, and a central computer system communicatively coupled to the plurality of motorized transport units. The central computer system being configured to receive a ride request from a customer, instruct a motorized transport unit to travel to a passenger carrier and couple to the passenger carrier, and instruct the motorized transport unit coupled to the passenger carrier to travel to the customer to provide transportation to the customer.

Apparatus and method of obtaining location information of a motorized transport unit

Methods and apparatuses are provided, some apparatuses comprise: a location controller separate from a motorized transport unit, comprising: a transceiver configured to receive communications from the motorized transport unit; a control circuit; a memory storing computer instructions that when executed by the control circuit cause the control circuit to perform the steps of: obtain, from the communications, a unique light source identifier of a light source detected by the motorized transport unit, and relative distance information determined by the motorized transport unit through an optical measurement; process the at least one unique light source identifier and the relative distance information relative to a mapping of the shopping facility; and determine, in response to the processing, a location of the motorized transport unit within the shopping facility as a function of the at least one unique light source identifier and the relative distance information.

Shopping facility assistance system and method to retrieve in-store abandoned mobile item containers

A central computer system identifies a mobile item container in a retail shopping facility as being abandoned. The central computer system then directs a motorized transport unit through the retail shopping facility to the abandoned mobile item container and causes that motorized transport unit to physically attach to the abandoned mobile item container. The central computer system then directs that motorized transport unit through the retail shopping facility with the attached abandoned mobile item container to a specified destination within the retail shopping facility. Abandonment can be determined as a function, at least in part, of determining that the mobile item container is both stationary and unattended for at least a predetermined amount of time. By one approach the central computer system can use different predetermined amounts of time when assessing abandonment depending upon where in the retail shopping facility the mobile item containers are located.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A GRATUITY

A system for providing a gratuity is disclosed which has a server system having a listing of members that are available for a hospitality provider for providing information concerning travel and other activities, the server system for receiving information from one or more guests having access to the server system, the information comprising a gratuity amount to be paid to one or more of the members.

Detecting item scans with audio signal processing

Disclosed are various embodiments for detecting item scans with audio signal processing. A first machine-readable identifier may be rendered in a display device associated with at least one computing device, where the first machine-readable identifier is associated with a first item in a list of items. An audio signal may be captured using a microphone and analyzed to identify a predetermined tone in the audio signal indicative of a scan being performed on a register device. In response to the predetermined tone in the audio signal being identified, the first machine-readable identifier may be replaced with a second machine-readable identifier in the display device, where the second machine-readable identifier is associated with a second item in the list of items.

SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR FACILITATING OBJECT ASSIGNMENTS

The present invention determines which network devices are likely to have a positive result in engagements with terminal devices. A server can obtain data about network devices with respect to the communication session with a network site. Then the server can use rules to define a set of network devices that are eligible to interact or communicate with a terminal device. The server can connect to the network devices as randomly as possible. Terminal devices can initiate engagements with network devices. The server can detect characteristics in the interaction of engagements that have positive results. The server generates an evaluation protocol based on the characteristics, to assign new network devices a parameter representing how close the new network device conforms to the evaluation protocol. The parameter is used by the system in real-time to inform terminal devices as to which network devices to connect to and in what order.

Dynamically optimizing inventory picking path within a store

One embodiment provides a system for dynamically optimizing inventory picking paths within a physical store. The system performs operations including receiving merchandise requests from customers, providing the merchandise requests to merchandise pickers, and receiving, from the merchandise pickers, picking data identifying picking paths executed by the merchandise pickers when picking items within the physical store to fulfill the merchandise requests. The operations further include analyzing the merchandise requests and the picking data to identify an algorithm suitable for determining an optimized picking path, and, in response to receiving a new online merchandise request, applying the algorithm to determine an optimized picking path for fulfilling the new online merchandise request. The optimized picking path is provided to at least one of the merchandise pickers. The algorithm is dynamically adjustable in response to receiving additional picking data identifying different picking paths that reflect changes to the store layout.
