Bid offers may be presented to the seller on behalf of the buyer. When a vehicle price is agreed upon, a financial transaction and transportation of the vehicle may be facilitated by the matching system.

An online system provides options for selection by a user. The online system receives a query entered on a client device. The online system queries an item database to retrieve a set of items related to the query and assigns each item to a product category in a predefined taxonomy that maps items to product categories. The online system inputs each item into a prediction model trained to predict a probability that an item is available at a warehouse location. The online system determines that a first product category has low availability based on predicted probabilities for items in the first product category. Responsive to determining that a first product category has low availability, the online system generates a generic item for the first product category and sends a list of items including the generic item to the client device for display responsive to the query.

Information about desired songs is collected on a portable memory device in communication with a radio tuner. The radio tuner may receive signals from a terrestrial or satellite digital radio transmission, or from an analog radio transmission. An option for the freelancer member to fulfill the service request is presented on a user interface of a user device of the freelancer member.

A combination automated-service and self-service store for implementation at brick-and-mortar retail locations is provided. The store and corresponding method of implementation is an automated-service model in which robots, deployed at the brick-and-mortar location, fill orders for fungible goods placed by customers either online or in-store. The store also includes a shopping section where customers can select/order items and/or personally select non-fungible goods. The store includes a shopping section for non-fungible goods that customers prefer to pick out by hand and a back end automated order fulfillment section for other goods (e.g., fungible goods, dry goods, etc.). The two sets of goods are merged to a delivery bundle and delivered together for pickup by the customer. The combination automated-service and self-service store combines the convenience of online shopping and self-service shopping using an unconventional approach that reduces costs for the retailer and simultaneously increases customer satisfaction.
