An online concierge system may determine recommended search terms for a user. The online concierge system may receive a request from a user to view a user interface configured to receive a search query. The online concierge system retrieves long-term activity data including previous search terms entered by the user while searching for items to add to an online shopping cart. For each previous search term, the online concierge system retrieves categorical search terms corresponding to one or more categories to which the previous search term was mapped. The online concierge system determines a set of nearby categorical search terms and sends, for display via a client device, the set of nearby categorical search terms as recommended search terms.

A computer system with access to a database of curated content receives a content request (e.g., based on words spoken by a human user interacting with a virtual assistant). The content request relates to a feature of a property (e.g., a vacation rental house) or an area in which the property is located. The computer system determines, based on analysis of the content request, that curated content related to the content request is not available in the database. The computer system transmits a representation of the content request to a property host computing device or a location-based search service. The computer system receives content from the host computing device or search service, which is responsive to the content request. The received content may then be presented to a user (e.g., via email, SMS message, or as synthesized voice output generated by the virtual assistant).

A video segmenting system identifies a product for sale in a video and determines one or more attributes of audio and video content within the video. The video segmenting system determines a video segment within the video that is associated with the product for sale, based on the attributes. The video segmenting system generates a tag that associates the product for sale with the video segment and sends an indication of the tag to a user device. Once the video is played on a user device, the user device detects a search query about the product for sale. Using the tag, the user device can display a marker on the user device corresponding to the location of the video segment within the video.

A method and associated system for generating social media engagement. The method involves placing at a brick and mortar business a computing device with a customer interface. Upon a triggering event, the computing device prompts a customer using the customer interface to complete a satisfaction survey. Upon the customer completing the satisfaction survey, the computing device prompting the customer to post to social media and directing the customer to a URL with their interaction with the satisfaction survey pre-populating a social media post.
