Method, machine-readable medium, and system for proximity-based services for products marked by geographical indications
A publication system can receive a first location of a client device determined from wireless communications between the client device and an electronic device associated with a known location (e.g., GPS, IP Access Point, cell tower, WIFI-enabled device, Bluetooth-enabled device, etc.). The system can identify items marked by geographic indications associating an item category with a geographic region from where the item category originates and that are available proximate to the client's location. The system can identify locations at which the items are available, and transmit those locations to the client. When the system determines that the client is proximate to one of the locations, the system can provide various services, such as providing a payment interface for purchasing/selling the items, updating one or more accounts associated with the purchased/sold items (e.g., seller account, buyer account, etc.), facilitating shipping of the purchased/sold items, among others.
Product identification in image with multiple products
Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for identifying the brand and model of products embedded within an image. One method includes operations for receiving, via a graphical user interface (GUI), a selection of an image, and for analyzing the image to determine a location within the image of one or more products. For each product in the image, determining a unique identification of the product is determined, the unique identification including a manufacturer of the product and a model identifier. The method further includes an operation for presenting information about the one or more products in the GUI with a selection option for selecting each of the one or more products. Additionally, the method includes operations for receiving a product selection for one of the one or more products, and presenting shopping options in the GUI for purchasing the selected product.
PROCESSING DATABASE REQUESTS
Database requests are processed in a distributed database system comprising a central database subsystem and a plurality of local database subsystems comprising a first local database subsystem. The central database subsystem receives a second database request indicating at least one unique identifier of at least one database result of a plurality of database results which have been stored with corresponding unique identifiers by the first local database subsystem in response to a first database request received at the first local database subsystem. The at least one database result identified by the at least one unique identifier is retrieved from the first local database subsystem, processed and stored persistently in a database of the central database subsystem. At least the first local database subsystem and the central database subsystem may operate according to the New Distribution Capability (NDC) standard.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING AN AUGMENTED REALITY INTERFACE FOR SAVING INFORMATION FOR RECOGNIZED OBJECTS
A method includes displaying and capturing image data containing an object and accessing a plurality of records related to objects, selecting a record related to the captured object, obtaining an identifier of a vendor of the object of the selected data record, combining the selected data record and the vendor identifier to form a search record, displaying, based on the search record, an augmented reality interface to receive a first interactive action for saving the search record, receiving the first interactive action, saving, in response to receiving the first interactive action, the search record into a searchable data structure, receiving a second interactive action, retrieving, in response to receiving the second interactive action, the search record from the searchable data structure, updating the vendor identifier based on the retrieved search record, and displaying information related to the search record.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A GIFT REGISTRY
A gift application enables users to create personal gift registries and wish lists, and organizes the lists into one convenient location. The invention is comprised of a mobile application that enables users to register and create their lists or compile their lists from various other websites. Users may make accounts for other individuals, such as children, grandparents, etc. Users can add a photo of the recipient and can add a co-host to the account that can edit the list. Individuals can then search the name of the person they would like to buy a gift for in order to pull up that person's registry/list. The app is designed to provide a link for each item listed so that the item can be easily purchased. The application will also have the capability to label items as already purchased so that duplicate gifts are not an issue.
Method, system, and computer-readable medium for product and vendor selection
Disclosed herein are technologies for providing recommendations as to particular products and/or services that are customer specific and general, based on customer preference and inquiry. The recommendations are provided as part of an online shopping system. In accordance with one aspect, an item query is received from a customer, and analyzed by a query analyzer to determine if the query is a general item query or a specific item query. A search may be performed for items based on the item query in an items database listing items offered for purchase. If the query is the general item query, customer preference is determined from results of the search. If the query is the specific item query, the items from the results of the search are grouped based on cost performance. The items of the search result are ranked and provided to the customer.
Systems and methods for managing and updating an internal product catalog
A system for managing and updating an internal product catalog, including an internal product catalog database, at least one external product catalog database, and an application program interface. The internal product catalog database includes a plurality of existing item files in which each existing item file is associated with a product and includes at least one attribute of the product. The at least one external product catalog database includes a plurality of external item files in which each external item file is associated with a product and includes at least one attribute of the product. The application program interface is communicatively coupled with the internal product catalog database and the at least one external product catalog database. The application program interface is configured to accept a user search request to search for a new product in which the user search request includes at least one attribute of the new product.
Progressive information panels in a graphical user interface
Approaches are described for an interface element that displays progressively more information about a search result in a listing of search results. In an embodiment, a user interacts with a search result, for example by utilizing a gesture on a touch-sensitive display, and a supplemental content item is generated and displayed using, in one example, a subset of available supplemental information associated with the search result. The display of the supplemental content item is accompanied by an animation is some embodiments whereby the supplemental content item visually slides over to replace the search result.
Synchronized audiovisual responses to user requests
Systems and methods are disclosed related to presenting an interactive audiovisual presentation that provides a user with information regarding individual items matching a user's search request or other request that results in a set of items. The audiovisual content may be generated to include a summary of a subset of item attributes associated with the individual items, and may include both an audio summary and visual content that are presented in synchronization with each other based on markup information in a presentation file.
DEVICE, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PLACING ORDER FROM MULTIPLE SERVICE PROVIDERS AT A SINGLE INSTANCE
A remote ordering device, system and method to order from different restaurants in a location to serve a single customer via a single order and accompanying charges from a location such as delivery fee, event management fee, service fee etc. A remote ordering device for providing at least one list of at least one item or group of items to an order processing system on each of a plurality of user defined occasions is provided. The remote ordering device can include a first processor coupled with a memory, the memory storing instructions which upon execution by the first processor triggers a second processor. The second processor upon triggered by the first processor enables at least one user to select, in real-time, the at least one item or the group of items from a plurality of merchant databases and distribute the at least one item or the group of items to a preferred location selected by the at least one user, wherein each of said plurality of merchant databases are associated with one or more different merchants and provides the at least one item or the group of items. An incentive scheme is designed to facilitate incentive/commission to the caterer, host and delivery partner.
