SELF-SERVICE MERCHANDISE REQUEST SYSTEM

Systems and methods are provided for requesting a product at a retail establishment. The system includes an electronic device and a computer-readable storage medium which includes one or more programming instructions that cause the electronic device to receive, from an on-premises electronic device located at a retail establishment, data pertaining to a product including a unique identifier associated with the product, determine whether the product is an item of footwear, and identify current inventory information associated with the product in response to determining that the product is an item of footwear. The one or more programming instructions further cause the electronic device to send at least a portion of the current inventory information to the on-premises electronic device, receive a request for the product, and send a notification of the request to one or more associate electronic devices, each being associated with an associate in the retail establishment.

AUTHENTICATING VOICE TRANSACTIONS WITH PAYMENT CARD

Disclosed are a system and techniques for authenticating voice transactions with a payment card. A system example may include a purchase application executing on a smart digital device, and a payment card. The purchase application may receive an item purchase request via an audio input device of the smart digital device for an item available to purchase. The received item purchase request may be sent to an application server or the like, and, in response, a list of merchants offering the item available for purchase and each merchant's price for the item available to purchase may be received. The list may be presented on a smart digital device display for selection of at least one of the merchants selling the item may be received. A payment card may be inserted into the smart digital device's near-field communication field to provide a signal containing encrypted data.

Generating media recommendations based upon beats per minute

Disclosed are various embodiments relating to generating media item recommendations based upon determining a beats per minute value. A media recommendation application determines a beats per minute value based upon a pacing measurement of the user. The media recommendation application then identifies one or more media item having a beats per minute that is similar to the beats per minute value. The media recommendation application then identifies a subset of the media item candidates to surface as recommendations for the user.

Systems and methods for interactive decision-making

A system for facilitating a purchasing decision is provided. The system includes a decision-making computing device configured to obtain purchase criteria, to apply the purchase criteria to a list of available purchases to determine a list of candidate purchases, and to determine a final purchase decision from the list of candidate purchases. The decision-making computing device determines the final purchase decision, at least in part, based on user input provided by a user of a user computing device. The user input is provided through an interactive decider configured to gamify the purchasing decision process, at least in part, by executing one or more interactive modules which may be in the form of a game, an animation, a simulation, and the like. If a user confirms a final purchase decision, the decision-making computing device may then initiate a purchasing process.

Semantic modeling for search

A semantic analysis can be performed to determine an intent of a received query. The intent can relate to a primary object of the query, which can be identified through the semantic analysis. Other attributes can be determined from the query that help to focus the object of the intent. A query vector is generated, based on the intent and primary object, and used to search a multi-dimensional semantic space including semantic representations of possible matches. The attributes are used to adjust the query vector in the semantic space. Objects having vectors ending proximate the query vector are identified as potential search results, with the distance from the query vector being used as a ranking mechanism. If refinement is needed, a dialog is used to obtain additional information from the user. Once results are obtained with sufficient confidence, results can be returned as search results for the query.

Personalized network content generation and redirection according to time intervals between repeated instances of behavior based on entity size

Disclosed are various embodiments for personalized network content generation and redirection according to time intervals between repeated instances of behavior. A computing device determines an expectation of a specific entity repeating a behavior associated with an item based at least in part on a time interval between prior occurrences of the behavior by the specific entity. The computing device then selects the item from a plurality of items based at least in part on the expectation of the specific entity repeating the behavior. Subsequently, the computing device generates a network page including a recommendation to repeat the behavior. Next, the computing device sends the network page to a client device associated with the specific entity.

A first product ID indicating a first product relevant to purchase action history information of one user and a second product ID indicating a second product handled by a store are acquired. Based on the first product corresponding to the acquired first product ID and the second product corresponding to the acquired second product ID, the preference suitability between the preference of the user and the preference of the store is calculated for each store. The preference suitability is calculated by calculating the similarity between a first design feature amount obtained by analyzing a product image showing the first product and a second design feature amount obtained by analyzing a product image showing the second product. Then, a store having a high preference suitability among the preference suitabilities calculated for respective stores is searched for as a store handling a large number of his or her favorite products.

TECHNIQUES FOR CONFIGURABLE PART GENERATION

Certain example embodiments relate to techniques generating a database of virtual families for real-time generation of part numbers for configurable products. For instance, certain example embodiments may include receiving a search request for part numbers and determining virtual families including entities matching the search request. The number of matching products matching the search request and the part numbers may be determined based on the virtual families and the independent groups stored in the virtual families that match the search request. The part numbers may be determined based on allowed characters, number and/or symbols for the part number positions defined in the independent groups of the virtual families including the entities matching the one or more configurable properties of the user input search request. Facet counts for the configurable product may also be determined based on the results of the user input search request.

ADAPTIVE SCHEDULING TO FACILITATE OPTIMIZED DISTRIBUTION OF SUBSCRIBED ITEMS

Various embodiments relate generally to data science and data analysis, computer software and systems, and control systems to provide an interface, and, more specifically, to a computing and data storage platform that implements specialized logic to facilitate adaptive scheduling automatically to optimally distribute items, such as shipping an item in accordance with an adapted frequency for a subscription. In some examples, a method may include identifying item characteristics associated with an item, determining a frequency based on at least an item characteristic in association with a subset of subscriber accounts, generating data representing a frequency and a subset of the item characteristics to integrate with a web page generated for a merchant computing system, and transmitting the formatted data to a user interface to display a display portion based on the formatted data as an integrated portion of an integrated web page including the web page.

TRAVEL SERVICES BASED ON TRANSPORTATION CRITERIA

Systems and methods are disclosed for providing a subscription travel service. The systems and methods include operations for determining a geographical location of a user of a subscription-based travel service; searching a list of travel services that are available for the user to consume on a travel date to identify candidate travel services; computing a likelihood of consumption value for the user based on transportation criteria associated with arriving at a given travel service in the list of travel services from the geographical location of the user; determining that the likelihood of consumption value for the user is less than a threshold; increasing a travel cost value associated with the given travel service in response to determining that the likelihood of consumption value is less than the threshold; and generating, for display in a graphical user interface to the user, an interactive visual representation of the given travel service.
