The present technology is directed to high performing trained machine learning models for information retrieval in a web store. In some embodiments, for example, when a search query is received from a user of an online retailer, a computer system associated with the online retailer accesses measurements of performance of sets of search results returned in response to previous user search queries. Each of the previous search results set is a set that was ranked by a machine learning model selected from a store of machine learning models that are each trained to rank search results. Based on the measurements of performance, the computer system selects a machine learning model to rank search results for a response to the received search query. The ranked search results are provided for output to the user.

An image from among a plurality of images is presented on an electronic display. The image is associated with a set of tags. An input is received indicating a user's preference for the image. A plurality of tags is processed based on the preference and the set of tags to determine a next set of tags from the plurality of tags. A next image is determined from the plurality of images based on the next set of tags. The next image represents a physical object, different from a physical object represented by the previous image. A sequence of images is generated by repeating the above process with the next image in place of the previous image for present a user's current object of interest.

In some embodiments, cubic product representations within the retail location are provided herein which represent the actual space and location of products within the store. Data for the retail space, such as blueprint, floorplan, and item modular data, can be merged and transformed into a central database to create the cubic product representations. Further, the cubic product representations within the retail location can be provided to users through a user interface, such as a web viewer.

Systems and methods are disclosed to modify content in accordance with a query and based at least in part on semantic relationships between terms in the content and query. An initial determination is performed for first identifiers from a query. A further determination is performed for a first semantic relationship that includes a first measure between the first identifiers. A second semantic relationship with second measures of relationships is determined between each of the identifiers and a plurality of terms in a database of terms. A search is performed of a content database using the first identifiers. Retrieved titles associated with a match from the search are subject to modification in their respective titles based at least in part on the first measure and the second measures. Content with the modified title is provided to a client device.
