Examples of delivery and/or referral services
Various systems and methods that may relate to referral and/or delivery services are described. Some embodiments may include billing merchants for delivery services in a consolidated fashion, some embodiments may include interactions with point of sale systems.
Product catalog services
Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) are exposed by a service provider to point-of-sale (POS) devices of a plurality of merchants. Product catalogs including product specifications are received from merchants via a merchant support application executing on the POS devices. Pricing records are received from the POS devices of the merchants that indicate prices, locations, and time periods for the prices. Sales data including quantity, time, and location of historical sales is obtained. A price recommendation is provided to a merchant based at least in part on correlations between the historical sales data and pricing.
Methods and apparatus for smart distribution of restaurant items and notification of order readiness
A Smartserv platform system and methods are provided. When a restaurant item order is placed via a smart device app interface, the order is transmitted to computer server which notifies a preparer. The order is also transmitted to a Smartserv platform, which generates a user identifiable area, such as a color-coded area of a Smartserv platform surface within which an ordered restaurant item will be distributed, thereby enabling simpler and more organized restaurant item ordering and distribution. The computer server may also notify the customer that the customer's order is ready for pickup at the area designated by the appropriately colored lights. This improves known customer-notification methods.

A network based order fulfillment systems having an improved user interface at both a customer device and at an order fulfillment location employee device. Both customer and employee devices can collect user input using unique user interface elements to elicit input from a customer in a retail environment on proper placement of items for an order in a vehicle. The unique user interface elements can be customized based on information specific to the user's vehicle. The elicited user input can be used to update a user interface of a second computing device.

Methods and apparatuses are provided for use in monitoring product placement within a shopping facility. Some embodiments provide an apparatus configured to determine product placement conditions within a shopping facility, comprising: a transceiver configured to wirelessly receive communications; a product monitoring control circuit coupled with the transceiver; a memory coupled with the control circuit and storing computer instructions that when executed by the control circuit cause the control circuit to: obtain a composite three-dimensional (3D) scan mapping corresponding to at least a select area of the shopping facility and based on a series of 3D scan data; evaluate the 3D scan mapping to identify multiple product depth distances; and identify, from the evaluation of the 3D scan mapping, when one or more of the multiple product depth distances is greater than a predefined depth distance threshold from the reference offset distance of the product support structure.
Augmented reality systems for facilitating a purchasing process at a merchant location
A method of facilitating an augmented reality experience to purchase an item at a merchant location may be provided. The method may include storing profile data, receiving location data and environmental data from a computing device associated with the stored profile data. Upon determining that the user device has entered a predefined merchant location, the method may include initiating a sequence of augmented reality modes including at least a first augmented reality mode associated with the selection of an item and a second augmented reality mode associated with the payment of the item. The user device may display virtual content in association with each mode, and upon detecting predetermined user inputs such as gestures, fixed gazes, or moving through thresholds, the system may enable the selection and payment of one or more items by sending a purchase request to a merchant terminal.
Tagging objects in augmented reality to track object data
There are provided systems and methods for tagging objects in augmented reality to track object data. A user may capture visual data utilizing a device at a location, where the visual data includes one or more objects that the user may wish to associate with a purchase or sell offer. A device may perform object recognition to identify the object and an identifying characteristic of the object. A service provider may then receive offer details and may generate a graphical object or other virtual data that can be displayed with the object in an augmented reality experience. Later, when the object is identified in another augmented reality experience on a different device, the virtual graphic may be displayed, which may show the offer for the object. Further, the augmented reality may be used to process a transaction for the object and track the object.

Systems and methods involving a computer-implemented portal that enables a user to pre-authorize purchase of items not yet available for sale are disclosed. In one embodiment, an exemplary method may comprise: providing an online portal that enables a user to manage a financial account; executing a first routine of the portal including interactive functionality enabling the user to specify and pre-authorize purchase of an item that is not yet available for sale; searching to determine at least one electronic source at which the item can be purchased when it becomes available for purchase; and executing a purchase transaction at the future date/time when the item is released for sale, to purchase the item for the user.
Food delivery optimization
Techniques for optimizing a food service configured to receive food orders from multiple customers, and consolidate orders based on respective days, times, and locations associated therewith. The food orders may include deliveries, customer pick-ups, and dine-in options for eating at a restaurant. The optimized food service may be configured to assign a restaurant to the consolidated orders and send a preparation instruction to the restaurant to prepare the consolidated orders for a designated pick-up or dining time. The optimized food service may additionally instruct an order supervisor to travel to the restaurant to assist in preparation of the consolidated orders. The order supervisor may additionally serve a food order, such as for a dine-in option or full service, catered delivery. For delivery orders, the optimized food service may assign a courier and, in some examples, a delivery assistant, to deliver the orders to respective customers.
