A system and method are provided for indicating an existence of a link to information pertaining to an article of commerce. The present disclosure provides for downloading a look-up table from a server database to a mobile device via a communication network. The look-up table is configured to store a plurality of UPC numbers associated with a plurality of articles of commerce and a plurality of information link indicators. Each information link indicator is associated with a respective UPC number and article of commerce and indicates the existence of a link via the communication network to information pertaining to the respective article of commerce. The mobile device allows a consumer to immediately determine if product information is available for a particular article of commerce, via a visual or audible indication on the mobile device.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, facilitating a collaborative shopping session between first equipment of a first user and second equipment of a second user; obtaining a first shopping preference of the first user; obtaining a first image of first stock currently available for purchase in a first physical store; selecting, based at least in part upon the first shopping preference of the first user, a selected other physical store, the selected other physical store being selected from among at least a second physical store and a third physical store; obtaining a second image of second stock currently available for purchase in the selected other physical store; combining the first image and the second image into a combined image; sending to the first equipment the combined image; and sending to the second equipment the combined image. Techniques for sharing item images based on a similarity score are described. For example, a machine receives an input item listing for an item from a user device. The machine accesses an existing image that may be associated with one or more existing item listings. The machine identifies a degree of similarity between the input item listing and the one or more existing item listings. The machine generates a similarity score for the existing image based on the degree of similarity. The machine selects one or more existing images corresponding to the one or more existing item listings based on the one or more existing images having corresponding similarity scores that exceed a threshold value. The machine transmits a communication to the user device in response to the receiving of the input item listing. The communication may include the one or more existing images.

Embodiments disclosed herein mitigate technological and social barriers in navigating virtual reality experiences, and with practical applications for the real estate industry. According to one embodiment, a computer-implemented method for navigating a virtual reality simulation is provided. The method includes generating a virtual reality simulation comprising a plurality of virtual spaces. The method includes rendering, in a display of a user device, a first virtual space in the virtual reality simulation, the first virtual space comprising a digital model comprising a plurality of selectable regions, wherein each selectable region is associated with a physical location within a three-dimensional structure. The method includes obtaining an input from a user, the input indicating a selection of a first region of the plurality of selectable regions of the digital model. The method includes in response to the input, rendering, in the display of the user device, a second virtual space in the virtual reality simulation, the second virtual space comprising a physical location in the three-dimensional structure associated with the selected first region.

Method and system to enhance the presentation of a pinned resource is provided. Users may be provided with an option to enhance the presentation of a shared (or pinned) resource by attaching to it a visual control that indicates that the resource can represent an item of merchandise and that the resource is associated with functionality that would allow a user to purchase an item depleted in the pinned resource.

A system and method provide customized, logically-sequenced user experiences for configuring products having numbers of components and compatibility rules that have, until now, been too large for individually-customized configurators to be feasible. Embodiments analyze compatibility rules for all possible components to form a directed graph of which components affect the availability of other components in a product. This graph is then analyzed using a community detection algorithm, such as the Louvain algorithm, to identify clusters of closely-related components. Clusters as a whole are given directionality based on the directed graph of components. Then the clusters are sequenced using this directionality, so that customer configuration of components in later clusters may be affected by earlier choices, but not vice versa. Finally, the sequenced clusters are transformed into a product configuration workflow that provides a user experience similar to a custom configurator.

A portable web widget for distribution of multimedia content over a computer communications network, the web widget adapted for viral distribution and execution in a web browser on a client device wherein the widget includes a content retrieval component communicatively coupled to an application server over the computer communications network, the content retrieval component configured to retrieve one or more multimedia display files and metadata into an embedded electronic commerce store in the web widget after it enters an active operational mode, the widget also including a content preview component configured to enable a streamed execution of a portion of the multimedia content files associated with each of the multimedia display files from a multimedia content distribution system executing on the application server, and a transaction processing component operative to execute and complete a commercial transaction in the embedded electronic commerce store pertaining to the multimedia content files.

Embodiments of the present invention provide for a method and system for point of sale (POS) real estate transactions. The exemplary system includes a database of interactive three-dimensional (3D) floorplans of real estate property and a database of 3D interactive digital replicas of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) used in real estate. Further, the exemplary system includes an interactive virtual reality digital space within which to manipulate the 3D interactive floorplans as well as insert the 3D digital replicas of the FFE to create a customized virtual real estate space. Further, the exemplary system also includes an electronic checkout mechanism so that the user can purchase the real-world versions of the real estate property and FFE in the customized virtual real estate space.

A system and method for generating a proportionately scaled three dimensional model of a user, having an article of clothing fitted is disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the method comprises, receiving a plurality of images displaying a body of said user, using said plurality of images to generate one or more measurements of one or more portions of said body of said user, using said one or more measurements to generate said proportionately scaled three dimensional model of said body of said user, fitting said article of clothing to said proportionately scaled three dimensional model of said body of said user; and providing said proportionately scaled three dimensional model having said article of clothing fitted thereon for display on a user interface of an electronic device of said user.

A client device and method to normalize a digital image into a universal digital color system includes a camera and a processor. The camera acquires a digital image of a color swatch and the processor converts the digital image into a RGB color image of the color swatch. The RGB color image is segmented into segments and each segment is analyzed to determine a dominant color for each segment. At least one dominant color for the color swatch is determined based on prevalence of at least one dominant color in each segment. A hexadecimal code of the universal color system is assigned to the color swatch that is closest to a digital hexadecimal value of the RGB image based on color component intensity values of the dominant color of the color swatch, thereby normalizing RGB colors of the color swatch.
