An academic program is recommended to the target student if the target student's characteristics match the characteristics of other students that have successfully completed the academic program. An academic program is not recommended to the target student if the target student's characteristics match the characteristics of other students that have failed to complete the academic program after some threshold period of time. The system presents an interface for comparing multiple academic programs that have been evaluated in view of a target student's specific characteristics. The interface concurrently lists each of a set of academic programs with a corresponding likelihood of success determined for the target student.

Operations include aggregating, analyzing, and displaying information about prospects for an educational institution. The system may aggregate prospect information by traversing, for example, lower education databases, social networking websites, or testing organization databases. The system may evaluate prospects which are potential applicants to generate recommendations for contact by a recruiter. Alternatively, or additionally, the system may evaluate prospects which have applied for admission to the institution to generate recommendations for acceptance by an admission officer. The system may recommend a prospect based on the prospect's potential for success in the institution. Success may correspond to metrics such as a likelihood of graduating from the educational institution or a likelihood of obtaining employment subsequent to graduating from the institution. Prospects sharing attributes with previously successful students may be selected for recommendation. Prospects which do not share attributes with previously successful students may not be selected for recommendation.

A model is generated based on the historical data. The model includes a set of factors. First data between the entity and a second plurality of potential applicants is received. A first factor score for each factor for each of the second plurality of potential applicants is generated based on the model. Second data between the entity and the applicants is received. The second data reflects interactions that occur after the first data. A second factor score for each factor is generated for each potential applicant based on the model. A priority range for each factor is received. A subset of the second plurality of potential applicants is identified based a second factor score that is within the priority range.

Systems, methods, and computer program products for determining an application status of an applicant for an educational program may include receiving cohort performance data comprising first data entries for participants that have respectively achieved outcomes for the educational program and applicant performance data comprising second data entries for the applicant, calculating adjusted cohort performance data based on the cohort performance data and first data characteristics, providing a predictor model based on the adjusted cohort performance data and the outcomes, sequentially changing predictive parameters of the first data characteristics to create second data characteristics and creating an adjusted predictor model based on the second data characteristics and the outcomes, calculating adjusted applicant performance data based on the applicant performance data and the second data characteristics, and calculating a probability of success for the applicant in the educational program based on the adjusted applicant performance data and the adjusted predictor model.

The verified identity and academic proficiency of a person can be compiled into an academic profile and submitted to academic institutions to support the user as a candidate for admissions.
