In one general aspect, a computer-implemented method for providing facilitated learning for an online course can include enrolling, by a course application executing on a computing system, a learner in the online course, scheduling, by a facilitated learning module associated with the course application and at a first time, at least one live video conference for the online course, scheduling, by the facilitated learning module and at a second time, at least one live forum discussion for the online course, initiating, by the facilitated learning module, the at least one live video conference based on determining that a current time is the first time, and initiating, by the facilitated learning module, the at least one live forum discussion based on determining that a current time is the second time, the at least one live video conference and the at least one live forum discussion allowing participation of the learner.

The server may determine that the remaining amount in the first account is less than the threshold determined using a machine learning model. The server may automatically generate an alert message comprising an indicator that the remaining amount in the first account is less than the threshold.

The method includes identifying, by an analysis engine executed by the computing device, at least one risk factor for non-persistence by the applicant. The method includes identifying, by the analysis engine, a likelihood of success by the applicant in completing at least one requirement of an educational institution. The method includes identifying, by the analysis engine, at least one action to recommend for execution, execution of the at least one action satisfying a threshold level of likelihood of improving the likelihood of success. The method includes providing, by the analysis engine, to the educational institution, the identified at least one action.

A system and/or method can be provided for improving applicant diversity by giving institutions selectable and adjustable application windows, thereby providing a number of benefits including an enriched learning environment. A similar system or method may be used to manage the availability of application windows in general to ensure that a diversity of applicant groups have an opportunity to apply.
