Systems and methods for detecting landmark pairs in images
A computer-implemented method for detecting landmark pairs in a pair of images is provided. The method includes receiving a pair of images, sampling the pair of images to generate reduced-resolution pairs of images, identifying features in the reduced-resolution pairs of images, matching the features in the image pairs, using the matched features in an increased resolution pair of images as guides for feature matching, and through iteratively guiding feature matching, identifying landmarks in the full-resolution pair of images.
Medical image display device, method, and program
A classification unit classifies a lung region, which is included in each of two three-dimensional images having different imaging times for the same subject, into a plurality of types of case regions. A mapping image generation unit generates a plurality of mapping images corresponding to the three-dimensional images by labeling each of the classified case regions. A change calculation unit calculates the center-of-gravity position of each case region for case regions at corresponding positions in the mapping images, and calculates the movement amount and the movement direction of the center-of-gravity position between the mapping images as a change of each case region. A display control unit displays information regarding the change on a display.

An image processing apparatus comprises a corresponding point obtaining unit configured to obtain corresponding points that are feature points of an object associated between a first image and a second image; a first deformation obtaining unit configured to obtain first deformation that is based on the corresponding points; a second deformation obtaining unit configured to obtain second deformation that is performed between the first image and the second image, and in which a degree of coincidence of corresponding points is lower than the first deformation; and a combining unit configured to combine the first deformation and the second deformation, regarding positions in at least one image of the first Image and the second image, based on distances between the corresponding points and the positions.
ENHANCING TEMPORAL AND SPATIAL RESOLUTION AND CORRECTING DATA ANOMALIES OF REMOTE SENSED DATA FOR ESTIMATING HIGH SPATIO-TEMPORAL RESOLUTION VEGETATION INDICES
A virtual satellite system may receive, re-project to a spatial resolution and interpolate to a desired temporal resolution, georeferenced data representing an image of a geographic region from a plurality of different satellites. Bias in the georeferenced data between the plurality of satellites is determined and based on which satellite's image data contains an identified minimum spatial resolution, vegetation index data may be set to one of the satellite's data, which may or may not be adjusted. A target image may be generated based on the set vegetation index data.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY DELINEATING STRIATUM IN NUCLEAR MEDICINE BRAIN IMAGE AND CALCULATING SPECIFIC UPTAKE RATIO OF STRIATUM
A method and a system are provided for automatically delineating a striatum in a nuclear medicine brain image and calculating a striatum specific uptake ratio. In the method, initially, a target image is obtained. Then, the target image is projected to a space coordinate to generate a projection amount; an upper end and a lower end of a brain are obtained; and a preset range from the upper to the lower ends is set as a striatum slice area in the target image. A brain area is determined from the target image by a line detection method. Then, a brain volume template is deformed according to the brain area and the striatum slice area, so that a striatum in the brain volume template corresponds to the target image to delineate a striatum region of the target image. Finally, a specific uptake ratio of the striatum region can be calculated.
Artificial-Intelligence-Based Global Cardiac Motion Classification
A method for providing a global cardiac wall motion classification for a patient is disclosed, and includes employing Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) image data. In some embodiments, the method comprises one or more of a myocardium segmentation step, a slice classification step, a movement feature extraction step, and a global classification or evaluation step, wherein a patient is classified as having normal cardiac wall motion, or as having suspicious or abnormal cardiac wall motion.
LIQUID TRANSFER MONITORING METHOD AND SAMPLE MEASURING DEVICE
A liquid transfer monitoring method to monitor a transfer state of a liquid such as a sample or a reagent having a high transparency which transmits light is provided. The liquid transfer monitoring method comprises a step of transferring a liquid 30 held in a first liquid holding portion 21 to a second liquid holding portion 22 connected to the first liquid holding portion 21, a step of acquiring information 40 relating to a scattered light intensity obtained by irradiating light 91 on the irregular inner surface 23 of at least one of the first liquid holding portion 21 and the second liquid holding portion 22 after starting the transfer of the liquid 30, and a step of monitoring the liquid transfer to the second liquid holding portion 22 based on the information 40 relating to the intensity of scattered light.
Systems and methods for forming a desired bend angle in an orthodontic appliance
A method for forming a desired bend angle in an orthodontic appliance comprising: monitoring bending of the orthodontic appliance in a gripped state, the monitoring being continuous; in response to an initial bend angle in the orthodontic appliance in the gripped state being reached, causing the release of at least a portion of the orthodontic appliance so that orthodontic appliance is in a free state, measuring resultant angle of the bend in the free state; in response to resultant angle being within a predefined tolerance of the desired bend angle, determining that desired bend angle has been reached.
