A time sequenced series of optical images of a patient is obtained at a rate faster than cardiac frequency, wherein the time sequenced series of images capture one or more physical properties of intrinsic contrast. A cross-correland signal from the patient is obtained. A cross-correlated wavelet transform analysis is applied to the time sequenced series of optical images to yield a spatiotemporal representation of cardiac frequency phenomena The cross-correlated wavelet transform analysis comprises performing a wavelet transform on the time-sequenced series of optical images to obtain a wavelet transformed signal, cross-correlating the wavelet transformed signal with the cross-correland signal to obtain a cross-correlated signal, filtering the cross-correlated signal at cardiac frequency to obtain a filtered signal, and performing an inverse wavelet transform on the filtered signal to obtain a spatiotemporal representation of the time sequenced series of optical images. Images of the cardiac frequency phenomena are generated.

Image processing apparatus and image processing method

An image processing apparatus includes an image acquirer that acquires a first skin image obtained by capturing an image of a skin at a first timing and a second skin image obtained by capturing an image of the skin at a second timing later than the first timing, an image analyzer that extracts a first discolored area from a first skin image and extracts a color of the skin from the second skin image, an image determiner that determines a cover area within the second skin image based on the first discolored area and determines a color of the cover area based on the color of the skin, and a print controller that generates image data with a content for printing an image of the determined cover area on the sheet by using a coloring material of the determined color.

An image forming apparatus determines an exceptional frame of a plurality of frames of a moving image of an eye based on the image features of each frame, and changes a moving image forming method based on the determined exceptional frame. For example, the image forming apparatus generates a new moving image by extracting a frame sequence including frames extracted from the moving image not to include a frame which has been determined as an exceptional frame.
