Extraction means analyzes a character string of an interpretation report to extract lesion portion information recorded in the interpretation report and a first lesion feature recorded in the interpretation report, and analysis means performs an image analysis process corresponding to the lesion portion information with respect to the image data corresponding to the interpretation report to acquire a second lesion feature based on a result of the image analysis process. Determination means determines whether the first lesion feature matches the second lesion feature, and registration means registers the image data corresponding to the interpretation report as learning correct answer data in a case where it is determined that the first lesion feature matches the second lesion feature.

Method for analyzing image data from a patient after a minimally invasive intervention, analysis apparatus, computer program and electronically readable data storage medium

A method is disclosed for analyzing image data from a patient after a minimally invasive intervention on a lesion, in particular after a tumor ablation on a tumor, wherein a pre-intervention image dataset showing the lesion and an intra- and/or post-intervention, second image dataset showing the intervention region are analyzed. In at least one embodiment of the method, the method includes deriving attribute data describing attributes of the image data from the image datasets at least in part automatically, the attribute data being usable as input data to an artificial intelligence analysis algorithm trained using training data from other patients, and the training data being associated with a ground truth. The method further includes determining, from the attribute data, change information that describes the change in the lesion and/or in the intervention region as a result of the intervention.

Methods and systems for characterizing tissue of a subject

Methods and systems for characterizing tissue of a subject are disclosed. The method includes receiving a time series of fluorescence images of the tissue of the subject wherein the images define a plurality of calculation regions, generating a plurality of time-intensity curves for the plurality of calculation regions, creating a set of parameter values for each calculation region, generating a total rank value for each calculation region by comparing the sets of parameter values, and converting the total rank value into a ranking map image. Also disclosed are methods and systems for characterizing a wound in tissue by generating a wound index value.

AUTOMATIC IDENTIFICATION OF MEDICALLY RELEVANT VIDEO ELEMENTS

Apparatus for an automatic identification of medically relevant video elements, the apparatus comprising a data input, configured to receive a data stream of image slices, wherein the data stream of image slices represents a temporal course of a view of image slices defined by a masking strip of video images from a video which has been recorded during a medical surgery on a patient an analysis apparatus configured to analyze the data stream of image slices via an analysis comprising at least one predefined analysis step for the presence of at least one sought-for feature and to output a result of the presence, and a processing device configured to output a start mark which indicates a correspondence between the presence and a position in the data stream of image slices if the result indicates the presence of the sought-for feature. Also, a corresponding method is disclosed.

An information processing device according to an embodiment of the present technology includes an image acquisition unit, a feature amount calculation unit, and a determination unit. The image acquisition unit acquires a time lapse image of a fertilized egg imaged on a time-series basis. The feature amount calculation unit calculates a time-series state variation of the fertilized egg. The determination unit determines any one or both of an active period and a rest period of the fertilized egg on the basis of the state variation.

METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR AUTOMATED ASSESSMENT OF ANTIBIOTIC SENSITIVITY
20200291447 · 2020-09-17 · ·

An imaging system and method provides automated microbial growth detection for antibiotic sensitivity testing. A processing system having an image sensor for capturing images of an inoculated culture plate having antibiotic disks disposed on the culture media captures images of the plate at separate times (e.g., first and second images). The system generates pixel characteristic data for pixels of the second image from a comparison of the first image and second image. The pixel characteristic data may be indicative of plate growth. The system may access growth modeling data concerning the antibiotic disk(s) and generate simulated image data with a growth model function. The growth model function uses the growth modeling data. The simulated image data simulates growth on the plate relative to the disk(s). The system compares the simulated image and the pixel characteristic data to identify pixel region(s) of the second image that differ from the simulated image.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MONITORING A BIOLOGICAL PROCESS

A system and a method monitor a biological process. The method includes obtaining an abnormal tissue mask from an abnormal tissue segmentation of an image of an object containing tissue to be analyzed, the image being acquired at a time t0 being a reference time point. Other images of the object are registered onto the abnormal tissue mask, the other images being acquired at other time points. Image contrasts of the other images are normalized with respect to the contrasts of the image acquired at the reference time point. The normalized images are subtracted for each available contrast in order to obtain difference images. A joint difference image is created by summing the previously obtained difference images. A biological process progression map is created by overlapping the abnormal tissue mask obtained and the joint difference image after applying a pre-defined threshold.
