SLEEPING POSITION-CONTROLLING BED SYSTEM
The sleeping-posture-control bed system includes a bed floor including a back-lifting portion for lifting the user's back, a bed-floor support body supporting the bed floor, and a back-lifting driver for lifting the head side of the back-lifting portion. The back-lifting portion includes a back-receiving surface and a head-receiving surface tiltable at different angles. The back-lifting driver lifts the back-receiving surface and the head-receiving surface, satisfying Mathematical Formula (1):
0<x70,45y<0, and 30x+y(1) where x is the tilt angle of the back-receiving surface when tilted, and the tilt angle of the back-receiving surface when the back-receiving surface is not lifted is set to be 0; and y is the tilt angle of the head-receiving surface when the angle of an extended line of the back-receiving surface
at the tilt angle x is referred to as 0.
Bilaterally shifting wheelchair seat
A universal bilaterally shifting wheelchair seat assembly that uses a battery powered control unit assembly including an electrical motor to bilaterally displace a wheelchair seat a predetermined distance to help prevent pressure ulcers. The control unit assembly is connected to an actuating disk using a shaft that travels through a channel in the wheelchair seat. The actuating disk includes an actuating rod mounted to the bottom of the seat that bilaterally moves the seat upon the actuating disk's rotational movement. The wheelchair seat can include an electrical regulator that a user can adjust to modulate the frequency and speed of the seat's displacement.
System and Method of Using an Array of Actuated Furniture Partitions
The present invention relates to a new type of furniture, which can be reconfigured into an arbitrarily large number of shapes. The changing of furniture shape is accomplished with an array of individually driven actuators which are used to displace a set of furniture components (or modules) in particular spatial amount in order to cause an overall yet arbitrary furniture shape (or look).
SUPPORT SURFACE USEFUL LIFE MONITORING
A patient support apparatus includes a frame, a support surface, and a sensor. The frame and the support surface cooperate to support a patient. The sensor is coupled to one of the frame and the support surface and is configured to provide an input signal indicative of usage of the support surface by the patient.
NURSING BED AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A nursing bed including a bed body, provided with a plurality of combined bed boards, at least one of the plurality of combined bed boards being provided with one or more pressure sensors, and a comparator, connected to the one or more pressure sensors. The comparator is configured to compare pressure data transmitted by the one or more pressure sensors with a predetermined pressure value and output a warning signal when the pressure data transmitted by the one or more pressure sensors is greater than or equal to the predetermined pressure value. A timer, is connected to the comparator, and with respect to each of the pressure sensors, configured to start timing when the warning signal is received and output an alarm signal when a preset time is reached, and an alarm device, is connected to the timer, and configured to give an alarm after the alarm signal is received.
PROGRAMMABLE MATTRESS ADJUSTMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD
A bed adjustment apparatus and method includes a linear actuator attached to a bed to move a portion of a mattress. A control box activates the linear actuator based on commands and sequences received from a remote control. The control box optionally includes a PLC to store the commands and sequences. The remote control optionally communicates wirelessly with the control box. The remote control allows a user to select and send the control box commands and sequences to control the linear actuator. The sequences are pre-installed, user programmed, received from another remote, or downloaded as desired. The apparatus allows a user to alleviate pressure points during sleep without requiring the user to adjust their sleeping position by adjusting the mattress based on a selected sequence.
STRUCTURAL ARRANGEMENT FOR A HOSPITAL BED PROVIDED WITH A PHYSIOLOGICAL DECUBITUS SYSTEM
It is described a constructive arrangement in hospital bed provided with physiological decubitus system comprising a fixed base (10), a moving base (20), a fixed pallet (30) and a moving pallet (40), describing an electric-mechanical actuator (50), driven by a timer, responsible for the up and down movement of the moving pallet (40) and two electric-mechanical actuators (60 and 61) responsible for the bed elevation movements (seat, back and knees) driven manually through the remote control and connected to the command center. Electric-mechanical actuators (50) and (60 and 61) allow the bed elevation and support point switching of the patient over the bed, promoting a silent and imperceptible work.
SUPPORTING SURFACE WITH PROGRAMMABLE SUPPORTS AND METHOD TO REDUCE PRESSURE ON SELECTED AREAS OF A BODY
A system and method to reduce pressure on selected areas on a body include an array of programmable supports and at least one sensor to detect a physical property of the body. Each programmable support of the array of programmable supports includes an adjustable member and a mechanism to adjust the length of the adjustable member based on the detected physical property of the body.
HOSPITAL BED WITH APPARATUS CAPABLE OF AUTOMATICALLY CHANGING BED SHEETS WITHOUT DISTURBING OCCUPIED PERSON, ALSO A METHOD OF PREVENTING AND RELIEVING ULCERS
The present invention relates generally to an ultimate comfort n care bed, and a bed apparatus capable of seamlessly changing bed sheets while being occupied by a person, a method of relieving ulcers, and a method thereof. The present invention also relates to a medical or a hospital bed, and, more particularly, to a hospital bed capable of seamlessly changing bed-sheets while the hospital bed is occupied by a patient. The present invention also comprises of a medical bed apparatus which allows the seamlessly changing of a used bed sheet with a new bed sheet while the bed is occupied by a person, and a method thereof Optionally, the medical or hospital bed can also have an air bladder system to inflate or deflate the hospital bed mattress while a bed sheet is being changed.
INTEGRATED AUTOMATIC TURNING BED SYSTEM
An integrated automatic turning bed system is provided. The system integrates the system controller with subsystems such as an electric turning bed, a pressure-sensing mattress, and/or an electronic diaper machine, and achieves comprehensive care for incapacitated bedridden people through automation and intelligence. By utilizing subsystem sensing and system controller to control and ensure the stability, reliability, and control accuracy of the system, the safety and comfort of the bedridden people can be ensured and care services are improved, which also effectively reduces the burden on caregivers at the same time.
