Machine learning assisted image prediction
A device implementing a system for providing predicted RGB images includes at least one processor configured to obtain an infrared image of a subject, and to obtain a reference RGB image of the subject. The at least one processor is further configured to provide the infrared image and the reference RGB image to a machine learning model, the machine learning model having been trained to output predicted RGB images of subjects based on infrared images and reference RGB images of the subjects. The at least one processor is further configured to provide a predicted RGB image of the subject based on output by the machine learning model.

According to one embodiment, an electronic device includes one or more processors. The one or more processors obtain an image captured by a camera with a filter having a first area transmitting light of a first wavelength range and a second area transmitting light of a second wavelength range. The image includes a first color-component image based on the light of the first wavelength range and a second color-component image based on the light of the second wavelength range. The one or more processors notify a user of an effective area for calculation of depth information based on a bias of color information in the first color-component image and the second color-component image.

Background suppression for anomaly detection
Systems and methods for anomaly detection are provided. The method includes structuring a multi-channel spatial-temporal sequence as a four-dimensional array. The method also includes decomposing the four-dimensional array to form a low-rank component representing a background signal and a residual component representing anomalies for each time point of the multi-channel spatial-temporal sequence. The method further includes determining a sequence of anomaly maps by stacking the residual components at all time points together. Anomalies are identified based on the sequence of anomaly maps.

Systems and methods for anomaly detection are provided. The method includes structuring a multi-channel spatial-temporal sequence as a four-dimensional array. The present application discloses a method for presenting a face in a video call. The method includes: obtaining a key feature point of a facial expression of a user based on a face image of the user; driving a 3D head image of the user by using the key feature point of the facial expression of the user, to obtain a target 3D avatar of the user, where the target 3D avatar of the user has an expression of the user; rotating the target 3D avatar based on a preset presentation angle, to obtain a target 3D avatar at the preset presentation angle; and transmitting the target 3D avatar at the preset presentation angle to a peer video call device. An user can see a 3D avatar that is of a user and that is at a preset presentation angle in real time, to improve the video conference experience.
Systems and methods of enhancing biometric matching accuracy and/or efficiency
Exemplary embodiments are directed to a system of enhancing biometric analysis matching. A processing device is configured to analyze the probe short-range and broadband iris texture information of a probe image for iris biometric authenticity, and based on the biometric authenticity of the probe short-range iris texture information and the probe broadband iris texture information, determine the biometric authenticity of the subject. Exemplary embodiments are also directed to a system of enhancing biometric analysis matching efficiency. The processing device generates an optimized order of enrollment iris biometric data includes a listing of the enrollment iris biometric data ordered by closest match to furthest match between the probe and enrollment broadband iris texture information. The processing device analyzes the iris biometric data for biometric authenticity starting with the closest match between the probe and enrollment broadband iris texture information.

An image processing apparatus includes a processor including hardware. The processor is configured to: acquire a first wavelength image and a second wavelength image, the first wavelength image being generated by irradiating a stage and by capturing light that has passed through the stage, the second wavelength image being generated by irradiating a specimen and by capturing light that has passed through the stage and the specimen, the specimen including a core tissue; calculate a spectral transmittance image; cause a display to display at least one of the spectral transmittance image and the second wavelength image as a display image; extract an area of the spectral transmittance image having spectral transmittance similar to spectral transmittance of a reference area in the display image as a core tissue area of the core tissue; and calculate an amount of the core tissue area.
Biometrics-enabled portable storage device
A biometrics-enabled portable storage device may store and secure data via biometrics related to a user's iris. The biometrics-enabled portable storage device may include a camera that captures image data related a user's iris and stores the image data to enroll the user for use of the biometrics-enabled portable storage device. To unlock the data, a user aligns the camera with their iris using a hot mirror and the camera captures iris data for comparison with the iris image data stored during enrollment. If the two sets of image data match, the biometrics-enabled portable storage device may be unlocked and the user may access data stored on the biometrics-enabled portable storage device. If the two sets of image data do not match, then the biometrics-enabled portable storage device remains locked.
On-board machine vision device for activating vehicular messages from traffic signs
An infrastructure to vehicle communications system includes a full spectrum camera disposed on a vehicle. A sign, disposed away from the vehicle, includes a message thereon. The sign reflecting visible light, and at least a portion of the message being an optical code; the optical code not reflecting visible light and reflecting invisible light. The full spectrum camera captures the image of the sign including the optical code. A smart vision device receives the image and determines the existence of the sign from the reflected visible light and the optical code thereon from the reflected invisible light. A data base stores one or more optical codes and one or more messages associated with a respective optical code, an on board unit communicating with the database and retrieves the message as a function of the optical code, and displays the message at a display in the vehicle.
