Data band selection using machine learning

Methods, systems, apparatus, and computer-readable media for data band selection using machine learning. In some implementations, image data comprising information for each of multiple wavelength bands is obtained. A multi-layer neural network is trained using the image data to perform one or more classification or regression tasks. A proper subset of the wavelength bands is selected based on parameters of a layer of the trained multi-layer neural network, where the parameters were determined through training of the multi-layer neural network using the image data. Output is provided indicating that the selected wavelength bands are selected for the one or more classification or regression tasks.

Scanning test system for assessing hand cleanliness in a medical pre-treatment protocol

A light, such as an ultraviolet (UV) light, is used with a scanning test device in a scanning process of one or more of a user's hands to assess hand cleanliness according to a medical pre-treatment protocol for a medical treatment device, such as for a dialysis treatment using a home dialysis machine. If the scanning process results in a determination that the hands do not pass a cleanliness standard, the user is requested to perform a cleaning protocol and re-perform a scanning test. The scanning test device may be a smartphone, tablet device and/or other smart device running a software app that obtains and scans an image of the user's hand(s) illuminated by the UV light and makes an assessment of hand cleanliness according to an assessment algorithm. After passing the scanning test, the scanning test device signals to the treatment machine that the medical pre-treatment protocol may continue.

VEHICLE AND OCCUPANT TEMPERATURE MONITORING AND ALERT DEVICE
20220246019 · 2022-08-04 ·

The present invention relates to a safety device for a child and/or pet left in a vehicle. The safety device detects a vehicle's interior temperature and occupant's temperature. More specifically, when the interior temperature of the vehicle is equal to or greater than a threshold value, an alarm is generated by the device. Additionally, a wireless alert is sent to a remote peripheral electronic device. The occupant's body temperature is also measured and can be used for transmitting the emergency alert signal. The device also features a motion sensor for sensing any motion within the vehicle and a camera to capture the images of the occupant in the vehicle. The device can be pre-installed or retrofitted in a vehicle.

Neighborhood alert mode for triggering multi-device recording, multi-camera locating, and multi-camera event stitching for audio/video recording and communication devices

The present embodiments relate to improvements to audio/video (A/V) recording and communication devices, including improved approaches to using a neighborhood alert mode for triggering multi-device recording, to a multi-camera motion tracking process, and to a multi-camera event stitching process to create a series of “storyboard” images for activity taking place across the fields of view of multiple cameras, within a predetermined time period, for the A/V recording and communication devices.

Systems and methods for cash verification and remote deposit are provided. A method may include receiving credentials to authenticate a login to a mobile app that is associated with a first financial entity; receiving an instruction to deposit a bill of cash at a physical location associated with a second financial entity that is different from the first financial entity; illuminating a front face of the bill; capturing an image of the illuminated front face; illuminating a back face of the bill; capturing an image of the illuminated back face; extracting a first tier of features from the images; determining a denomination and/or version of the bill; when the denomination and/or version exceeds a predetermined first threshold, extracting a second tier of features; when all of the extracted features are associated with the same denomination and/or version, and all of the features that are associated with said denomination and/or version are detected, verifying the bill; and when the bill is verified and a message is received, from the second financial entity, confirming that the second financial entity received the bill, depositing an amount corresponding to the denomination in an account at the first financial entity.

SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CAPTURING AND PROCESSING EXTERIOR ENVIRONMENT OF A STRUCTURE VIA AN AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE
20220254163 · 2022-08-11 ·

A system and a method of capturing and processing exterior environment of a structure via an autonomous vehicle are disclosed. The system receives location details, an elevation plan and a floor plan of a structure such as a high rise building. The system prepares an image mapping plan for collecting images of the structure at each level. The system identifies a direction orientation for setting a Ground Control Point (GCP) at a base of the structure for operating an autonomous vehicle. The system operates the autonomous vehicle vertically from the base to the top of the structure corresponding to the direction orientation. The system employs the autonomous vehicle for capturing images of interior and exterior of the structure at each level with the help of an image sensor of the autonomous vehicle. The system places icons mapping the images captured with the image mapping plan. The system accesses the images of the interior and exterior of the structure upon selecting the icons placed on the image mapping plan.

Hidden camera detection systems and methods

Hidden camera detection systems and methods are disclosed herein. An example method includes illuminating a surface with infrared light, obtaining an image of the surface using an infrared camera, and determining the presence of a hidden camera associated with the surface by determining a difference in spectral reflectance between how the infrared light is reflected off of the hidden camera as compared to how the infrared light is reflected off of the surface.

Disclosed herein are methods and systems for painting driving assistance markings using one or more paint materials which are visible in a plurality of light spectral ranges, in particular, visible light and one or more infrared light spectral ranges. Further disclosed are methods and systems for analyzing images captured in multiple spectral ranges to identify the driving assistance markings and/or part thereof in a plurality of different spectral ranges and identify aggregated driving assistance markings by aggregating the driving assistance markings identified in the plurality of different spectral ranges. Also disclosed herein are methods and systems for presenting and detecting enhanced driving assistance markings on one or more elements under one or more paint materials which are highly transparent in one or more infrared spectral ranges while reflecting visible light conforming to a color of the element(s) surface thus not affecting appearance of the element(s) in the visible light spectrum.
