System and Method for Identifying Feature in an Image of a Subject
A method and system is disclosed for analyzing image data of a subject. The image data can be collected with an imaging system in a selected manner and/or motion. The image data may include selected overlap and be acquired with an imaging system that generates a plurality of perspectives for more than one location. An automatic system and method may then define or identify various features and/or allow for registration for alternative image data.
Sensor Region of Interest Selection Based on Multisensor Data
A system may include a first sensor of a first type and a second sensor of a second different type and having a detector. A field of view of the second sensor may be formed by a plurality of regions of interest (ROIs) defined by the detector. Control circuitry of the system may be configured to perform operations including obtaining, from the first sensor, first sensor data representing an environment, and determining, based on the first sensor data, information associated with a feature of interest within the environment. The operations may also include determining, based on the information, a particular ROI that corresponds to an expected position of the feature at a later time, obtaining a plurality of ROI sensor data from the particular ROI instead of obtaining full-resolution sensor data, and analyzing the plurality of ROI sensor data to determine one or more attributes of the feature.

Security system with temperature sensing
An access control system includes an identification unit having an infrared (IR) transmitter that transmits IR radiation, an IR detector that receives the reflected IR radiation from one or more body parts of the user, one or more signal processing components to determine a temperature of the user based on the received reflected IR radiation, and an identification device to receive identification information of the user. The access control system also includes a processor that receives the reading of the user, instructs a door lock controller to unlock a door when the temperature is below the threshold temperature or the temperature is within the temperature range. The processor sends an alert when the temperature is above the threshold temperature or the temperature is outside the temperature range, and sends identification information of the user to one or more network devices.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR OBJECT CLASSIFICATION AND SELECTIVE COMPRESSION IN AERIAL IMAGERY
This disclosure describes a system and a method for assigning pixels within agricultural imagery collected from overhead platforms to one or more classes based on spectral and/or spatial content. The system comprises one or more hardware processors configured by machine-readable instructions to: receive output signals provided by one or more remote sensing devices mounted to an overhead platform, the output signals conveying information related to one or more agricultural images; and assign pixels within the agricultural images to one or more classes based on spectral and/or spatial content of the agricultural images, wherein the one or more classes include a signal class and a noise class.
APPARATUS FOR MONITORING A SWITCHGEAR
An apparatus for monitoring a switchgear includes: an input unit; a processing unit; and an output unit. The input unit is provides the processing unit with a monitor infra-red image of the switchgear. The processing unit implements a machine learning classifier algorithm to analyse the monitor infra-red image and determine if there is one or more anomalous hot spots in the switchgear. The machine learning classifier algorithm has been trained based on a plurality of different training infra-red images. The plurality of training infra-red images include a plurality of modified infra-red images generated from a corresponding plurality of infra-red images, each of the modified infra-red images having been modified to remove an effect of obscuration in the image. The output unit outputs information relating to the one or more anomalous hot spots.

A non-limiting example information processing apparatus includes a processor, and an infrared LED and an imaging device are connected to the processor. The processor controls on/off of the infrared LED, and an image sensor images infrared images according to switching timings thereof. An image processing circuit estimates an influence (situation) of noise such as sunlight etc. based on respective infrared images at times when the infrared LED is turned on and off, and determines at least advisability of use of the imaging device (infrared sensor). A determination result about the advisability of use is applied to the processor from the image processing circuit, and when it cannot be used, a message to that effect is displayed on an LCD.
