BIOMETRIC OCULAR MEASUREMENTS USING DEEP LEARNING
A method for estimating biometric landmark dimensional measurements of a human eye includes, in a possible embodiment, receiving one or more images of the human eye via a host computer. In response to receiving the one or more images, the method includes generating a preliminary set of landmark point locations in the one or more images via the host computer using a deep-learning algorithm, and then refining the preliminary set of landmark point locations using a post-hoc processing routine of the host computer to thereby generate a final set of estimated landmark point locations. Additionally, the biometric landmark dimensional measurements are automatically generated via the host computer using the final set of estimated landmark point locations. A data set is then output that is inclusive of the set of estimated landmark point locations. A host computer that executes instructions from memory to perform the method.
Object Recognition Device and Object Recognition Method
The problem to be solved by the invention is to accurately detect a distant object while preventing an increase in cost. An object recognition device includes: an imaging unit configured to acquire a plurality of thermal images having an object captured therein; a stereo matching unit configured to perform stereo matching using the plurality of thermal images and calculate a distance to the object; a specific temperature region extracting unit configured to extract a specific temperature region from the thermal images; and an area ratio estimating unit configured to estimate, based on the distance to the object calculated by the stereo matching unit, a ratio of an area of the object included in a pixel for the specific temperature region.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI) PROCEDURE FOR NORMALIZING THERMAL SKIN TEMPERATURE TO BODY TEMPERATURE
Methods, systems, and devices for data processing and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques are described. A system may support person detection using an optical camera and temperature detection using a thermal sensor. The thermal sensor may determine a temperature reading corresponding to a tracker for a specific detected person. A processing device may update a current temperature for the tracker based on the temperature reading and may add the updated current temperature to a baseline. For example, the processing device may use AI techniques to manage one or more baselines supporting handling of differences and changes in ambient temperatures. The processing device may determine that the current temperature for the tracker satisfies an alert threshold and may trigger an alert procedure. For example, the processing device may use an active baseline to correct the current temperature from a skin temperature to a body temperature for comparison to a fever detection threshold.
