MEDICAL MONITORING SYSTEM WITH MONITORING CAMERA
There is provided a recognition system adaptable to a portable device or a wearable device. The recognition system senses a body heat using a thermal sensor, and performs functions such as the living body recognition, image denoising and body temperature prompting according to detected results.
Systems and Methods for Fusing Color Image and Near-Infrared Image
A method for image fusion includes the following. One or more geometric characteristics of the NIR image and the RGB image are normalized. The normalized NIR image and the normalized RGB image are converted to a first NIR image and a first RGB image in a radiance domain, respectively. The first NIR image is decomposed to an NIR base portion and an NIR detail portion, and the first RGB image is decomposed to an RGB base portion and an RGB detail portion. The NIR base portion, RGB base portion, NIR detail portion and RGB detail portion are combined using a set of weights. A resulting weighted combination of these base and detail portions is converted from the radiance domain to a fused image in an image domain.
IMAGE GENERATION DEVICE, MEDICINE IDENTIFICATION DEVICE, MEDICINE DISPLAY DEVICE, IMAGE GENERATION METHOD, AND PROGRAM
The generation device includes: an illuminating unit including light-emitting units simultaneously illuminate a surface of a medicine from irradiation directions different from each other; an imaging unit acquires a plurality of first images of the medicine corresponding to the respective wavelength bands from an imaging element; an image generating unit generates, based on the first images acquired by the imaging unit, a second image to which emphasis processing for emphasizing the engraved mark or the print has been applied; and a processing control unit controls the image generating unit to generate the second image when two or more of output values of the respective first images are equal to or more than a threshold, and controls the image generating unit not to generate the second image when less than two of the output values of the respective first images are equal to or more than the threshold.

BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION DEVICE AND BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION METHOD
The objective is to achieve highly accurate authentication even when there is variation in the ambient light environment during biometric imaging. A biometric authentication device includes an image capturing unit that captures images of a living body, a light source for capturing images of the living body, an optical filter that selectively passes and blocks light according to wavelength, a spectroscopic processing unit that separates multiple wavelengths captured simultaneously, respectively, and a calculation unit that calculates the shape and posture of a predetermined part of the living body in the captured images, a background removal unit that removes the background from the image of the living body using the spectral images of the living body and the spectral image of the unwanted ambient light, and an authentication unit that performs biometric authentication using the image of the predetermined part.
PIR OCCUPANCY ESTIMATION SYSTEM
An occupancy estimation system is provided. The occupancy estimation system is configured to estimate a number of occupants in a target space. The occupancy estimation system includes a PIR motion sensor and a control apparatus. The PIR motion sensor is with a field of view of an area where occupants are expected to be present, and the PIR motion sensor is adapted to output a PIR signal. The control apparatus is adapted to receive the PIR signal to compile an aggregate of the minor and major motion behaviors of the occupants in the field of view and generate an occupancy estimation count accordingly.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING A BIOLOGICAL SUBSTANCE BY HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGING
A method of detecting a biological substance in a sample, comprises: illuminate the sample by light; imaging the illuminated sample by Fourier transform hyperspectral imaging; and analyzing the obtained hyperspectral image to detect the biological substance in a sample.
VEHICULAR DRIVER MONITORING SYSTEM WITH EVENT CAMERA
A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an event camera disposed in a cabin of a vehicle and viewing the head of a driver of the vehicle. The dynamic range of the event camera is at least 100 dB. The response time of the event camera is less than 10,000 microseconds. The event camera has a quantum efficiency of at least 15% for near-infrared light having a wavelength of 940 nm. The system, responsive to processing of data output by the event camera, monitors the driver of the vehicle. Responsive at least in part (a) to monitoring of the driver of the vehicle and (b) to vehicle kinematic data provided to the ECU, at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) a driver attentiveness alert is generated, (ii) a driver drowsiness alert is generated, (iii) steering of the vehicle is controlled and (iv) braking of the vehicle is controlled.
USING FI-RT TO GENERATE WINE SHOPPING AND DINING RECOMMENDATIONS
Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods including acquiring an image including an indication of at least one wine; identifying, by optical character recognition, the at least one wine in the acquired image; correlating each of the identified at least one wines to a visual image representation of each wine; and executing a trained computer vision classification system using the visual image representation of each of the identified wines and labeled visual image representations of at least one wine associated with a user flavor profile including at least one classification as inputs to generate an output including, for each of the identified wines, an indication of whether the identified wine corresponds to the at least one classification associated with the user flavor profile.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING LIVENESS OF BIOMETRIC INFORMATION
The present teaching relates to method, system, medium, and implementations for detecting liveness. When an image is received with visual information claimed to represent a palm of a person, a region of interests (ROI) in the image that corresponds to the palm is identified. Each of a plurality of fake palm detectors individually generates an individual decision on whether the ROI corresponds to a specific type of fake palm that the fake palm detector is to detect. Such individual decisions from the plurality of fake palm detectors are combined to derive a liveness detection decision with respect to the ROI.
