A method for regulating a position of an object includes detecting a plurality of first alignment structures of the object under rotation of the object, wherein a plurality of second alignment structures of the object sequentially face a photosensitive element during the rotation of the object, and when the plurality of first alignment structures have reached a first predetermined state, stopping the rotation of the object and performing an image capturing procedure of the object. The image capturing procedure includes: capturing a test image of the object, wherein the test image includes an image block presenting the second alignment structure currently facing the photosensitive element; detecting the position of the image block in the test image; when the image block is located in the middle of the test image, capturing a detection image of the object.

PRESENTATION ATTACK DETECTION

An apparatus for capturing an image of an object on a platen and including a platen having a surface for receiving the object, wherein the platen is transmissive to an optical wavelength of light, an illumination module configured to illuminate at least a portion of the object with light from an illumination source, and an optical sensing module configured to receive the light from the illumination source after the light interacts with the at least a portion of the object. The light from the illumination source is spatially patterned prior to reaching the object. The illumination module can be configured to create the spatially patterned illumination and/or the platen may include a patterned optical coating creating the spatially patterned illumination. The spatially patterned illumination can include a plurality of discrete areas (e.g., a stepped pattern) of different illumination intensity and/or a gradient of different illumination intensity.

Pattern identification device and display apparatus

A device for identifying a pattern over a first surface includes a photosensitive layer, and a light-guiding layer disposed between the photosensitive layer and the first surface. The photosensitive layer includes a plurality of photosensitive elements, each configured to convert incident light into an electrical signal. The light-guiding layer includes a plurality of light-guiding units, each positionally corresponding to one of the plurality of photosensitive elements. Each light-guiding unit includes a plurality of light-transmitting portions, each configured to guide a light beam reflected from a feature of the pattern positionally corresponding thereto to transmit therethrough and reach one of the plurality of photosensitive elements corresponding to the each of the plurality of light-guiding units. The device can be used for identification of fingerprint, as well as other biometric or non-biometric features, and has a reduced thickness and an improved accuracy for pattern identification.
