Projector, detection method thereof, and electronic device

The present disclosure provides a detection method of a projector, a projector, and an electronic device. The method includes: obtaining a speckle pattern, the speckle pattern being an image generated by irradiating laser light generated by a light source in the projector onto an object by an optical element; and performing an abnormality detection on the projector according to the speckle pattern.

Window defect sensing and image processing

Various embodiments relate to sensing defects associated with a window. Furthermore, various embodiments relate to performing image processing to produce a corrected image of a scene based at least partly on data corresponding to the detected defects. In some examples, one or more lighting modules may be used to illuminate the window to facilitate detection of the defects by one or more sensor devices.

Using an illumination sequence pattern for biometric authentication

Technology described herein includes a method that includes receiving, at one or more processing devices, data corresponding to a first image, and determining, by the one or more processing devices based on the received data, that a first set of pixel values of the first image corresponds to illumination of a first representative wavelength, and at least a second set of pixel values of the first image corresponds to illumination of a second representative wavelength. The illuminations of the first and second representative wavelengths constitute at least a portion of a first illumination sequence pattern used in capturing the first image. The method also includes determining that the first illumination sequence pattern matches a second illumination sequence pattern associated with a device from which the first image is expected to be received, and in response, initiating a biometric authentication process for authenticating a subject represented in the first image.

A method is generally provided for adjusting a pattern projection rate in an active perception system, comprising the steps of observing a scene with an event-based sensor array; projecting a current light pattern of a sequence of light patterns on the scene for a given interval of time; retrieving events generated by the event-based sensor array in response to the projection of the current light pattern; monitoring a property of the event retrieval progress; and dynamically controlling the projection of the light pattern based on the property.

METHODS FOR DEPTH SENSING USING CANDIDATE IMAGES SELECTED BASED ON AN EPIPOLAR LINE

A method for depth sensing from an image of a projected pattern is performed at an electronic device with one or more processors and memory. The method includes receiving an image of a projection of an illumination pattern; for a portion of the image, selecting a candidate image of a plurality of candidate images by comparing the portion of the image with a plurality of candidate images; and determining a depth for the portion of the image based on depth information associated with the selected candidate image. Related electronic devices and computer readable storage medium are also disclosed.

A work machine is disclosed. The work machine has a machine control for controlling the movements of the work machine in an operating mode of the machine control. The work machine also has a processing unit that has a detection unit. The detection unit is located on the work machine and is used to detect a target object within a safety zone. The processing unit sends a detection signal to the machine control when the target object is detected within the safety zone, and the machine control enters a safety mode from the operating mode when the detection signal is received. In the safety mode, the movement controls of the work machine are disabled.

BLOOD VESSEL DETERMINATION DEVICE, BLOOD VESSEL DETERMINATION METHOD AND NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM

A blood vessel judgment device acquires an image captured while near-infrared light is illuminated at a part of a body. Based on brightness values of a plurality of pixels configuring the acquired image, the blood vessel determination device determines that a predetermined number of pixels counted in order of brightness value from a pixel with a lowest brightness value represent blood vessels.
