METHOD FOR FINGERPRINT DETECTION, FINGERPRINT SENSOR AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A method for fingerprint detection, which may more easily reduce an influence of a brightness change of a display screen on the fingerprint detection and improve performance of the fingerprint detection. The method for the fingerprint detection includes: receiving a synchronization signal of a display screen, the synchronization signal being configured to trigger a pixel array of a fingerprint sensor to expose, where a period of the synchronization signal is synchronized with a dimming period of the display screen, and the dimming period includes a bright period and a dark period; exposing each row of pixels in the pixel array in sequence based on triggering of the synchronization signal, so that a position of the pixel whose exposure time corresponding to the dark period in the pixel array is constant, where data of each row of the pixels after exposure is configured to obtain a fingerprint image.
Identification method for an identification system
Provided is an identification method for an identification system, which includes a sensing area and an image sensor. First, a test object is close to the sensing area, so that the image sensor generates a dynamic image. Next, the test object gradually pressurizes the sensing area. Then, the test object completely covers the sensing area, and the image sensor further produces a perspective image. Finally, an identification module is used to determine whether the dynamic image is a biological image according to the perspective image, and to perform a subtraction operation on the dynamic image as a basis to determine whether to unlock the identification system. Therefore, the identification system and the identification method can achieve a real-time determination on whether the dynamic image is a biological image. Also, the identification method greatly improves the false acceptance rate (FAR) and the false rejection rate (FRR) of the identification system.

An auto-exposure control is proposed for high dynamic range images, along with a neural network for exposure selection that is trained jointly, end-to-end with an object detector and an image signal processing (ISP) pipeline. Corresponding method and system for high dynamic range object detection are also provided.
System and method for minimizing lost vehicle axel motion and filtering erroneous electrical signals
A system and method for monitoring a roadway by comparing captured images to image inconsistencies caused by lost or unnecessary motion and for minimizing lost or unnecessary motion of an axle of a vehicle and filtering erroneous pulses of an electrical signal to generate a trigger signal to capture images is presented. The system enables the minimization of image artifacts causing distortion in an image. The system can take images of a target, compute an object pixel size of the image to ensure calibration of longitudinal measurements, and calibrate the rotary encoder with the camera of the machine vision system. The system can enable calibration of the locomotive components in the field to compensate for the misalignment of the machine vision system and provide safe travels.
Electronic Devices and Corresponding Methods for Enrolling Fingerprint Data and Unlocking an Electronic Device
An electronic device includes a memory storing a plurality of fingerprint reference data files. One or more sensors identify whether a mechanical support condition of the electronic device is a hand supported condition or a surface supported condition. A fingerprint sensor receives fingerprint data. One or more processors select a prioritized fingerprint data reference file from the plurality of fingerprint reference data files as a function of the mechanical support condition and authenticate an authorized user of the electronic device by comparing the fingerprint data to the prioritized fingerprint data reference file before comparing the fingerprint data to another fingerprint reference data file of the plurality of fingerprint reference data files. The fingerprint sensor can be situated on a minor surface of the electronic device, on a rear major surface in a central location, on the rear major surface in an edge location, or in other locations.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF BIOMETRIC IDENTIFICATION OF A SUBJECT
Systems and methods of biometric identification of a subject have steps of providing a light source and an imager, positioning a subject hand palm facing the light source and imager, illuminating the palm with the light source, capturing an image of the palm, and determining characteristics of capillary beds in the image. The present invention may include the step of identifying the subject based on the characteristics of the capillary beds. The step of determining characteristics of capillary beds in the image may include determining locations of the capillary beds. The present invention may include the step of processing the image to filter image features of the palm other than the capillary beds. Processing the image to filter image features of the palm other than the capillary beds may include removing surface ridge pattern features and spatially filtering to remove detail with a frequency of less than a selected threshold.
