When the user's finger is placed on a transparent finger resting surface and touches the in-position touch sensor, the finger vein imaging device is triggered to turn on the infrared light sources and to capture infrared image of finger vein patterns of the user's finger, and the finger vein authentication controller authenticate the user using the captured infrared images of finger vein patterns of the user's finger.
