Method and system for aircraft taxi strike alerting

Apparatus and associated methods relate to ranging object(s) nearby an aircraft using triangulation. A light projector mounted at a projector location on the aircraft projects pulses of polarized light onto the scene external to the aircraft. The projected pulses of polarized light are polarized in a first polarization state. A camera mounted at a camera location on the aircraft has a shutter synchronized to the projector output pulse and receives a portion of the projected pulses of polarized light reflected by the object(s) in the scene and polarized at a second polarization state orthogonal to the first polarization state. Location(s) and/or range(s) of the object(s) is calculated, based on the projector location, the camera location, and pixel location(s) upon which the portion of light is imaged.

An information processing method includes: obtaining first image data indicating an image of at least one portion of a face of a target person from a camera connected to or built into a first computer; obtaining cerebral blood flow information indicating a state of cerebral blood flow of the target person from a detector that is connected to or built into the first computer and that detects the cerebral blood flow information; and displaying, on a display connected to or built into a second computer connected to the first computer through a remote network, an output image including a first image based on the first image data and a second image based on the cerebral blood flow information. The first image is a moving image including the at least one portion of the face, and the second image indicates changes over time in the cerebral blood flow information.

IMAGING APPARATUS FOR AUTHENTICATION AND AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM

An imaging apparatus for authentication includes: a first imaging unit that obtains a first image used in a first authentication process by imaging a target person; a second imaging unit that obtains a second image used in a second image process by imaging the target person in an imaging range narrower than that of the first imaging unit; a drive unit that integrally drives the first imaging unit and the second imaging unit; and a drive control unit that controls the drive unit on the basis of the first image.

Mobile electronic devices comprising a first camera with a first field of view FOV.sub.1, a second, Macro camera with a Macro field of view FOV.sub.M smaller than FOV.sub.1, and a device screen that includes a first screen section configured to display first image data from the first camera and a second screen section configured to display second image data from the Macro camera when both cameras are focused to a distance equal to or smaller than 30 cm.

IMAGING AN OBJECT ON A DISPLAY

In some aspects, a device may detect that an object is contacting a display of the device. The device may illuminate, based at least in part on detecting that the object is contacting the display, a plurality of pixel regions of the display. The plurality of pixel regions may be illuminated sequentially. The device may obtain, using one or more photosensors, a set of data relating to light that is reflected from at least a portion of the object based at least in part on illuminating the plurality of pixel regions. The set of data may include respective data for each sequential illumination of the plurality of pixel regions. The device may generate an image of at least the portion of the object based at least in part on the set of data. Numerous other aspects are described.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION VIA FACE COVERING

Methods and systems are described for improvements to authentication processes. For example, conventional systems may rely on password authentication or contact-based alternative authentication techniques that are impractical or infeasible in sensitive medical environments, during pandemics, or fail meet the health and safety needs of an increasingly health-conscious public. In contrast, the described solutions provide an improvement over conventional authentication systems and methods by enabling user authentication via contactless physiological biometric authentication processes, behavioral authentication processes, and passive data authentication processes, that do not require a user to remove personal protective equipment.
