Techniques for co-optimization of motion and sensory control
11119497 · 2021-09-14 · ·

Systems and methods for optimizing sensory signal capturing by reconfiguring robotic device configurations. In an implementation, upcoming sensor readings are predicted based on navigation path data. Based on the predicted sensor readings, optimized sensor parameters that will improve the quality of resulting sensory signals are determined. Sensors of a robotic device are reconfigured based on the optimized sensor parameters. In another implementation, deficiencies in sensory signals are determined. A motion configuration of a robotic device is optimized based on the deficiencies to allow for capturing better quality sensory signals.

20210279316 · 2021-09-09 ·

Systems and methods for authentication with resistance to replay attacks are provided. A device may be used to capture image data of a user to authenticate or identify the user. Authentication information may be obtained by processing and analyzing the captured image data. Data about a state of the imaging device and the captured image data may be used for fraud detection. The data may be collected when the image data is processed and analyzed. The state of the imaging device and captured image data are unlikely to be repeated. The detected repetition of a state of the imaging device and captured image data may be a cause for increasing the likelihood that a replay attack is taking place. The device may be used to perform a transaction.

Determine a current position of a camera relative to a road based on a set of imagery from the camera and a recommended position of the camera relative to the road based on the set of imagery from the camera, while the camera is maintained at a constant height relative to the road and a constant lateral distance relative to the road. The camera can be positionally adjusted from the current position to the recommended position based on a movement of the camera about a Y-axis or a Z-axis of the camera at that time relative to the road. In order to enable movement of the camera, a guide can be output to a user such that the user can follow the guide and move the camera from the current position to the recommended position.

System and method for object falling and overboarding incident detection
11126857 · 2021-09-21 ·

A system and method detects falling incidents on structures such as cruise vessels, oil rigs, overpasses, and buildings, and also detects overboarding movements onto structures such as cargo ships. The system includes at least two opposed imaging devices which record video streams of a detection cuboid within an overlapping region of view volumes for the imaging devices. The imaging devices monitor objects that pass through the cuboid. Identified objects within the video streams are paired, their conformance is determined, and real-world information such as size, trajectory, and location is determined.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COLLABORATIVE CALIBRATION VIA LANDMARK
20210172761 · 2021-06-10 ·

The present teaching relates to method, system, medium, and implementations for sensor calibration. An ego vehicle determines whether a sensor deployed thereon to facilitate autonomous driving needs to be calibrated and sends, if it is determined that the sensor needs to be calibrated, a request for assistance in collaborative calibration of the sensor to a center. The request includes at least a first position of the ego vehicle on the route and a first configuration of the sensor with respect to the ego vehicle. When the ego vehicle receives a calibration assistant package, which includes information associated with a collaborative means present along the route and to be used to assist the ego vehicle to calibrate the sensor, it identifies, based on the information, the collaborative means along the route when the ego vehicle is in a vicinity of the collaborative means in order to capture a target present on the collaborative means to enable calibration of the sensor.
