An image capturing apparatus and an electronic device are provided. The image capturing apparatus includes: a light-transmitting cover plate, a light source component, a sensor component, and a lens disposed between the light source component and the sensor component. A preset angle is formed between a central axis of the lens and a normal of the light source component. A light generated by the light source component is transmitted through the light-transmitting cover plate, and then is scattered by the object to be captured, and the scattered light is focused by the lens to the sensor component. The light source component is disposed outside of a depth of field of the lens, and the object to be captured is disposed within the depth of field of the lens.

TESTING EQUIPMENT WITH MAGNIFYING FUNCTION

Embodiments disclose a device for testing biological specimen. The device includes a sample carrier and a detachable cover. The sample carrier includes a specimen holding area. The detachable cover is placed on top of the specimen holding area. The detachable cover includes a magnifying component configured to align with the specimen holding area. The focal length of the magnifying component is from 0.1 mm to 8.5 mm. The magnifying component has a linear magnification ratio of at least 1. Some embodiments further include a multi-camera configuration. These embodiments include a first camera module and a second camera module arranged to capture one or more images of the first holding area and the second holding area, respectively. The processor may perform different analytic processes on the captured images of different holding areas to determine an outcome with regard to the biological specimen.

A vehicular forward viewing image capture system includes an accessory module configured for attachment at an in-cabin side of a windshield of a vehicle, whereby a CMOS image sensor views through the windshield forward of the equipped vehicle. With the accessory module attached at the in-cabin side of the windshield, and while the vehicle is traveling along a road, captured image data is processed to determine (i) presence of an object of interest viewed by the image sensor and (ii) location and/or movement of the object of interest viewed by the image sensor. Multiple frames of captured image data are processed in determining location and/or movement of the object of interest. Image data captured by the image sensor is processed for an automatic headlamp control system of the equipped vehicle. The vehicular forward viewing image capture system automatically compensates for misalignment of the image sensor.
