APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING FISHEYE CAMERA IMAGE
20220237731 · 2022-07-28 · ·

Disclosed is an image analysis apparatus for analyzing a camera image. The image analysis apparatus for analyzing a camera image segments an input fisheye camera image into segmented images with a preset size field of view and superimposes the segmented images so that some regions overlap, performs dewarping on each of the segmented images, then combines the segmented images on which the dewarping is performed using a preset combination method, generates an analysis image, and detects objects included in the analysis image. In this case, the image analysis apparatus removes a result recognized as a duplicate from a detection result of the object by post-processing.

20220237772 · 2022-07-28 · ·

A system and method for monitoring a roadway by comparing captured images to image inconsistencies caused by lost or unnecessary motion and for minimizing lost or unnecessary motion of an axel of a vehicle and filtering erroneous pulses of an electrical signal to generate a trigger signal to capture images is presented. The system enables the minimization of image artifacts causing distortion in an image. The system can take images of a target, compute an object pixel size of the image to ensure calibration of longitudinal measurements, and calibrate the rotary encoder with the camera of the machine vision system. The system can enable calibration of the locomotive components in the field to compensate for the misalignment of the machine vision system and provide safe travels.

A vehicular forward viewing image capture system includes an accessory module configured for attachment at an in-cabin side of a windshield of a vehicle, whereby a CMOS image sensor views through the windshield forward of the equipped vehicle. With the accessory module attached at the in-cabin side of the windshield, and while the vehicle is traveling along a road, captured image data is processed to determine (i) presence of an object of interest viewed by the image sensor and (ii) location and/or movement of the object of interest viewed by the image sensor. Multiple frames of captured image data are processed in determining location and/or movement of the object of interest. Image data captured by the image sensor is processed for an automatic headlamp control system of the equipped vehicle. The vehicular forward viewing image capture system automatically compensates for misalignment of the image sensor.

Media type selection for image data

Systems, apparatuses, and methods related to media type selection for image data are described. Memory systems can include multiple types of memory media (e.g., volatile and/or non-volatile) and can write data to the memory media types. Image data inputs can be written (e.g., stored) in a particular type of memory media characteristics. For instance, selection of memory media can be based on one or more attributes of the image data. In an example, a method can include receiving, by a memory system that comprises a plurality of memory media types, image data from a first image sensor of a plurality of image sensors, identifying one or more attributes of the image data, and writing, based at least in part on the one or more attributes of the image data, the image data to a first memory media type of the plurality of memory media types.
