DETECTION OF MOVING OBJECTS
A camera (10) for detecting objects (48) moving relative to the camera (10) in a direction of movement (50), comprising an image sensor (18) for recording image data of the objects (48) in a camera field of view (14, 56), an optoelectronic distance sensor (24) using a time-of-flight method having a plurality of measurement zones (30a) for measuring a plurality of distance values to the objects (48) in a distance measurement field of view (58), and a control and evaluation unit (38) configured to find, by measuring distance values over a configuration time and evaluating the distance values and/or their change, a region where objects (48) move, and to automatically set a region of interest (60) for the distance sensor (24) within the distance measurement field of view (58) by determining an object region as the region where objects (48) move.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE PICKUP APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image processing apparatus includes a separation unit configured to separate luminance information of each pixel in a processing area of an input image into an intrusion component and an object component, a determination unit configured to determine whether each of intrusion components is a first component or a second component, a processing unit configured to generate first information based on the first component, and an image generating unit configured to generate an output image based on the first information, the second component, and the object component.
Locking Beverage Container
A locking beverage container includes a container and a complementary removably securable lid. The lid includes a drinking aperture, a flap, and a lock. The drinking aperture is in fluid communication with the container when the lid is secured to the container and can be utilized by an individual to drink the contents of the container. The flap can be moved to a closed position to cover the drinking aperture to prevent access to the drinking aperture and contents of the container. The lock is operably connected to the flap and can selectively lock the flap in a closed position such that the flap cannot be moved by an unauthorized individual. The lock can also be unlocked thereby enabling the flap to move and enabling the individual to access and utilize the drinking aperture again.
OBJECT DETECTION DEVICE
In an object detection device for detecting an object, a single sensor unit includes a light emitting unit and a light receiving unit. The light receiving unit includes a two-dimensional array of light receiving elements and outputs a light reception signal in response to a light reception state of a set of the light receiving elements for each pixel. The sensor unit is configured to, based on the light reception signals, acquire first information indicating reception intensity of the reflected light at each pixel, second information indicating reception intensity of background light that is light other than the reflected light, at each pixel, and third information indicating a distance to the object at each pixel as a pixel value of the pixel. A detection unit is configured to use all of the first to third information included in the pixel values of the respective pixels to detect the object.
System and method for person re-identification using overhead view images
A method, non-transitory computer readable medium and apparatus for performing a person re-identification using an overhead view image are disclosed. For example, the method includes receiving a plurality of overhead view images, detecting a target person in one or more of the plurality of overhead view images, creating a probe image of the target person, receiving a selection of the probe image containing the target person, selecting one or more of the plurality of processed images that has a similar distortion profile as a distortion profile of the probe image based on a radial distance of the target person from a center of a respective overhead view image of the plurality overhead view images used to generate the probe image and performing the person-re-identification of the target person using the one or more of the plurality of processed images that are selected.
Detection of whether mobile computing device is pointing to visual code
First and second confidence values are determined. The first confidence value corresponds to a likelihood that, from a position and an orientation of a mobile computing device, the mobile computing device is pointing to a visual code. The second confidence value corresponds to a likelihood that, from an image captured by the mobile computing device, the mobile computing device is pointing to the visual code. Whether the mobile computing device is pointing to the visual code is determined based on the first confidence value and the second confidence value.
SURROUND VIEW MONITORING SYSTEM AND METHOD
Disclosed is a surround view monitoring system comprising: a plurality of cameras provided in a vehicle, the cameras being configured to capture first images of surroundings of the vehicle; a non-volatile memory configured to store second images captured by the cameras or position information of the cameras in the vehicle; and a processor configured to match the first images captured by the cameras relative to one another based on the second images or the position information stored in the non-volatile memory.
Imaging device for identifying a liquid within a dispenser
Systems and methods for determining the identity of a liquid within a liquid dispenser are provided. A device includes a holder having an opening that is configured to retain the liquid dispenser. A surface of the liquid dispenser is configured to affix a label identifying a liquid within the liquid dispenser. A plurality of lenses are mounted on the holder. Each lens has a respective field of view that includes a respective portion of the surface of the liquid dispenser. In addition, the device includes a plurality of fiber bundles. Each fiber bundle includes an input that is configured to receive a respective signal from a respective one of the plurality of lenses. Further, the device includes an imaging sensor that is configured to receive the respective signals from the plurality of fiber bundles and to form a plurality of images of the surface of the liquid dispenser.
Image capture device and vehicle
An image capture device is mounted in a vehicle. The image capture device includes: an image capture unit; and a setting unit that sets an image capture condition for each region of the image capture unit each having a plurality of pixels, or for each pixel, based upon at least one of a state exterior to the vehicle and a state of the vehicle.
Adaptive light source
A method according to embodiments of the invention includes creating a three-dimensional profile of a scene, calculating a relative amount of light for each portion of the scene based on the three-dimensional profile, and activating a light source to provide a first amount of light to a first portion of the scene, and a second amount of light to a second portion of the scene. The first amount and the second amount are different. The first amount and the second amount are determined by calculating a relative amount of light for each portion of the scene.
