EVALUATION SYSTEM FOR WORK REGION OF VEHICLE BODY COMPONENT AND EVALUATION METHOD FOR THE WORK REGION
A work region evaluating system includes an imaging unit and a processing unit. The processing unit includes an image processing section that converts a three-dimensional image of a vehicle body component recorded by the imaging unit to three-dimensional image data, an extraction section that extracts work regions and reference regions respectively from both the three-dimensional image data and three-dimensional design data, an alignment section that aligns the three-dimensional image data with the three-dimensional design data with reference to the reference regions, and an evaluation section that evaluates a relation between the work region extracted from the three-dimensional image data and the work region extracted from the three-dimensional design data, based on the three-dimensional image data and the three-dimensional design data which are aligned with each other by the alignment section.
Methods of automatically answering a phone call with a mobile terminal and associated mobile terminals
Methods of automatically answering a phone call with a mobile terminal and associated mobile terminals are disclosed. A method includes: if there is an incoming phone call, obtaining every predetermined period of time a pressure value and coordinates of each contact point between an ear of a current user and a touch screen; obtaining an outer contour of the ear based on the pressure values and coordinates; selecting among the outer contour three parts of the ear to establish reference coordinate axes; obtaining relative coordinates of each contact point corresponding to each part in the outer contour with respect to the reference coordinate axes; comparing the relative coordinates with pre-stored sample coordinates that comprise coordinates of each part of an ear of an authorized user relative to reference coordinate axes; and if the relative coordinates match with the pre-stored sample coordinates, unlocking the mobile terminal and answering the phone call.
Wear measurement system using computer vision
A wear measurement system for a component is disclosed. The wear measurement system may have an imaging device configured to obtain a plurality of two-dimensional images of the component. The wear measurement system may also have a controller. The controller may be configured to generate a three-dimensional point cloud representing the component based on the two-dimensional images. The controller may also be configured to select at least two reference points appearing in each of a subset of images selected from the two-dimensional images. Further, the controller may be configured to determine locations of the two reference points in the three-dimensional point cloud. The controller may also be configured to determine an image distance between the locations. In addition, the controller may be configured to determine an amount of wear based on the image distance.
Image Measurement Device
There are included a display section for displaying a model image, an input receiving section for receiving designation, in the model image, of a measurement element for which measurement is to be performed by the probe, a storage section storing, in advance, an arrangement rule defining a relationship between a shape type or a size of a measurement element and arranged positions of contact target positions of the probe, and a measurement control section for identifying, at a time of measurement execution, contact target positions of the probe based on a position of the measurement element designated by the input receiving section, a shape type or a size of the measurement element, and the arrangement rule that is stored in the storage section, and for controlling a horizontal drive section so that the probe sequentially moves to the plurality of contact target positions identified.
REMOVING UNWANTED OBJECTS FROM A PHOTOGRAPH
Methods, systems and computer program products for removing unwanted objects from a photograph are provided. Aspects include identifying a plurality of objects in the photograph and classifying each of the plurality of objects as one of a static object and a dynamic object. Aspects also include removing one or more of the plurality of objects classified as dynamic objects from the photograph and identifying one or more additional photographs, which include one or more of the plurality of objects classified as static objects. Aspects further include integrating content from at least one of the one or more additional photographs in a location of the removed dynamic objects in the photograph.
PREDICTIVE INFORMATION FOR FREE SPACE GESTURE CONTROL AND COMMUNICATION
Free space machine interface and control can be facilitated by predictive entities useful in interpreting a control object's position and/or motion (including objects having one or more articulating members, i.e., humans and/or animals and/or machines). Predictive entities can be driven using motion information captured using image information or the equivalents. Predictive information can be improved applying techniques for correlating with information from observations.
Method of aligning virtual and real objects
A method for aligning the positions and orientations of a real object and a virtual object in real space, the virtual object corresponding to a virtual replica of the real object, the method comprising visualizing at least one alignment feature superimposed on or replacing a representation of the virtual object in a field of view containing the real object, wherein the alignment feature is indicative of a position and orientation of the virtual object in real space, and wherein the at least one alignment feature complements a shape and/or surface pattern of the real object, such that the alignment feature and the real object form a composite object with complementing patterns and/or shapes in the field of view, when the real object and the virtual object are aligned.
Image-Based Decomposition for Fast Iterative Solve of Complex Linear Problems
A system and method are disclosed for solving a supply chain planning problem modeled as a linear programming (LP) problem. Embodiments include receiving a matrix formulation of at least a portion of the LP problem representing a supply chain planning problem for a supply chain network, generating an image based on the matrix formulation to identify connected components, partitioning the matrix formulation based, at least in part, on the connected components constraint into at least two partitions, formulating an LP subproblem from each of the at least two partitions, and solving the LP subproblems to generate a global solution to the supply chain planning problem.
COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING SPECIFYING PROGRAM, SPECIFYING METHOD, AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
A computer-readable recording medium stores a specifying program for causing a computer to execute a process. The process includes: calculating a first distance between a center point of each shape data and a straight line on a same plane as the center point, for a specific portion of which the center point is defined, from among a plurality of portions included in a shape indicated by each shape data classified into the same group; adding the calculated first distance to dimensional information of the specific portion in each shape data; and specifying a dimensional relationship between different portions of the shape data in the group, based on the dimensional information for each portion of each shape data in the group.
