IMPORTING TEXT INTO A DRAFT EMAIL
Examples described herein include systems and methods for importing text into a draft email on a user device. In response to a user selecting the first selectable element, the user device can launch a camera interface on the display. The user can capture an image, such as a page of a book or newspaper, and then scale the captured image to the relevant desired portion. The example method can further include recognizing text within the scaled portion of the image and automatically importing the recognized text into the draft email. The user device can utilize a machine learning model to perform text recognition at the device and then insert the recognized text into the draft email automatically. The user device can also display an indication of the accuracy of the imported recognized text within the draft email.
IMAGE PROCESSING SYSTEM, APPARATUS, METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
Character recognition processing is executed on a document image, and a candidate segmentation point is specified in a character string of a recognition result of the character recognition processing. In response to a user specifying a desired position on the document image displayed, a character string corresponding to the specified position is set as an output target and the candidate segmentation point is displayed. In a case where the candidate segmentation point is operated by the user, the character string set as the output target is changed to a character string obtained by segmentation based on the operated candidate segmentation point.
Document data capture
Techniques are described for capturing data from a digital document through the use of targeted user feedback regarding the position(s) of particular data field(s) in the document. Implementations enhance the speed and accuracy of data capture from documents and/or images of documents by providing a helpful and intuitive set of controls to enable the end user to indicate the position(s) of field(s) on a document. Through specification of the position of the field in the document, implementations may isolate the portion of the document where data extraction is to be performed to determine the associated value of the field. Any suitable number of field values may be extracted from the document in this manner, based on positions indicated by the user using the provided control(s). In some implementations, one or more actions may be automatically performed based on the extracted data, such as automated bill payment actions.
HANDWRITING INPUT DISPLAY APPARATUS, HANDWRITING INPUT DISPLAY METHOD AND RECORDING MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
A handwriting input display apparatus causes display means to display a stroke generated by an input made by using input means to a screen as a handwritten object. The apparatus includes display control means for causing the display means to display character string candidates including a handwriting recognition candidate when the handwritten object does not change for a predetermined time. When the handwriting recognition candidate is selected, the display control means causes the display means to erase a display of the character string candidates and a display of the handwritten object, and causes the display means to display a character string object at a position where the erased handwritten object was displayed. When selection of the handwriting recognition candidate is not performed for a predetermined time and the display of the character string candidates is erased, the display control means causes the handwritten object to be kept displayed.
COPY AND PASTE FROM A PHYSICAL DOCUMENT TO AN ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT
A method to select a content block from a physical document. The method includes generating, by a computer processor and based on an image of the physical document, extracted content blocks in the physical document, detecting, using a camera disposed toward a workspace surface, a finger gesture of a user that identifies a finger tap position on the workspace surface, selecting, by the computer processor, an extracted content block based on an intersection between the finger tap position and a region on the workspace surface associated with the extracted content block, and generating, based at least on the extracted content block, a final content block selection of the physical document for performing a document processing task of the physical document.
SCANNING DEVICES WITH ZONAL OCR USER INTERFACES
In example implementations, an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes an imaging device, a display, a zonal optical character recognition (OCR) device, and a processor. The imaging device is to scan a document to generate a scanned document. The display is to provide a graphical user interface (GUI) to display the scanned document and an electronic form. The zonal OCR device is to scan a selected area of the scanned document. The processor is communicatively coupled to the imaging device, the display, and the zonal OCR device. The processor is to receive a selection of the selected area on the display, to receive a selection of a field on the electronic form, to obtain data from the selected area of the scanned document that is scanned, and to enter the data in the field of the electronic form that is selected.
Modular Spinal Implant
The current modular implant is particularly useful in spinal surgical procedures. The modular implant can be provided with two anchors and a central section.
Document beautification using smart feature suggestions based on textual analysis
Techniques are provided for a computer processor-implemented method of beautifying an electronic textual document having text organized in a plurality of sections. Each of the sections is representative of a corresponding one of a plurality of textual elements. The method includes: receiving a user selection of the text for beautification, the selected text including at least a portion of one of the sections; classifying the selected text as the corresponding one of the textual elements represented by the one of the sections; ranking a set of attributes applicable to the one of the textual elements; presenting an ordered list of the highest-ranked attributes; in response to receiving a selection of one or more of the presented attributes, applying the selected attributes to the selected text; and reranking the applicable attributes to reflect the selected attributes.
Information processing apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium for generating input screen information
An information processing apparatus includes an obtaining unit that obtains a number of times of data inputting required for each of plural input items to which operators are to input data and an input screen information generation unit that generates, for the operators on a basis of the obtained number of times of data inputting, input screen information to which the operators are to input data.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM FOR ASSOCIATING METADATA WITH IMAGE DATA
According to an exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a screen including a first pane in which a document image is displayed, and a plurality of entry fields in which metadata is to be entered is displayed. In a case where one of character regions in the document image displayed in the first pane is selected by a user, a character recognition result of the selected character region is entered in an entry field that is identified as an input destination among the plurality of entry fields. In a case where the plurality of entry fields includes at least one blank entry field, one of the at least one blank entry field is automatically identified as a next input destination. Accordingly, operability can be improved in entering metadata using character recognition results of character regions selected on the document image.
