Three-dimensional scanning and tracking device
A three-dimensional scanning and tracking device to track at least one item, the three-dimensional scanning and tracking device including a main body, an imaging unit disposed on at least a portion of the main body, a display unit disposed on at least a portion of a center of the main body, a scan button disposed on at least a portion of the main body to scan a barcode of the at least one item using the imaging unit in response to depressing the scan button and orienting the imaging unit toward the barcode, and a camera button disposed on at least a portion of the main body to perform a three-dimensional image capture of the at least one item in response to depressing the camera button and orienting the imaging unit toward the at least one item, such that a three-dimensional image of the at least one item is created and displayed on the display unit.
CAPTURED IMAGE BASED VALIDATION OF PRINTED TOKENS
According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor and a non-transitory computer readable medium that the processor may execute to determine whether a token is to be printed printed onto the medium, following printing onto the medium in a printing system, cause a scan bar in a media feed path of the printing system to capture an image of the printed medium. The processor may also determine, from the captured image of the printed medium, whether the token was properly printed onto the printed medium and, based on a determination that the token was not properly printed onto the printed medium, output an indication and/or an instruction corresponding to the token being improperly printed.
METHOD FOR TRACKING AND MAINTAINING INVENTORY IN A STORE
One variation of a method for tracking and maintaining inventory in a store includes: accessing a image of an inventory structure in the store; identifying a top shelf, in the inventory structure, depicted in the image; identifying a set of product units occupying the top shelf based on features detected in the image; identifying a second shelf, in the set of shelves in the inventory structure, depicted in the image, the second shelf arranged below the top shelf in the inventory structure; based on features detected in the image, detecting an understock condition at a slot—assigned to a product type—on the second shelf; and, in response to the set of product units comprising a product unit of the product type, generating a prompt to transfer the product unit of the product type from the top shelf into the slot on the second shelf at the inventory structure.
SPECIMEN INFORMATION DETECTION APPARATUS AND SPECIMEN INFORMATION DETECTION METHOD
According to an aspect of the invention, a specimen information detection apparatus includes, an image capture device configured to capture an image of a specimen container that contains a specimen, an illumination device configured to irradiate the specimen container with light sideways with respect to an image capturing direction when the image is captured, and an information processing portion configured to detect a state in the specimen container through image processing based on image information of the specimen container acquired by capturing the image of the specimen container.
Image capture for identity verification and recordation
Methods for capturing an image for identity verification and recordation are provided. The methods may include receiving, at a specialized processing device, transfer data from a remote terminal. The methods may include determining, based on the transfer data, that an identity verification process is required to execute the transfer data. The methods may include sending, based on a determination that the identity verification process is required, a first image file to the terminal for display. The methods may include receiving from a mobile device, information derived from the first image file which identifies the transfer data and a second image file. The methods may include determining, whether the second image file meets a predefined criteria associated with the transfer data identified by the information derived from the first image file. The methods may include sending an authorization signal upon determining that the second image file meets the criteria.
Distributed and Automated Transaction Systems
Methods and apparatus are described that use machine vision and machine learning to eliminate many of the steps of a typical retail transaction. For example, implementations are contemplated in which a user simply removes an item from a retail location to effect the transaction.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD OF IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An apparatus detects a plurality of areas from an overall image, determines on each of the plurality of areas whether the area is a candidate for an area including an object as a processing target based on a determination reference value (first determination processing), acquires a zoom-in image of the area determined to be the candidate for the area including the object in the first determination processing, and determines whether the acquired zoom-in image is an image of the object (second determination processing). The apparatus identifies an area, in the overall image, corresponding to the zoom-in image determined not to be the image of the object in the second determination processing, and performs control to update the determination reference value used in the first determination processing based on image information of the identified area in the overall image.
ON-DEVICE PARTIAL RECOGNITION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Disclosed is an approach of on-device partial recognition that includes performing partial recognition on an image of a document captured by a mobile device to detect and/or recognize a specific area (e.g., barcodes, non-relevant text, etc.) and filling the recognized area with a solid color. Because the solid color area has a maximum compression ratio, this approach can lead to image size reduction and increased network throughput for client-server based data recognition where further processing such as advanced data extraction is performed at the server side. The approach can be enforced with neural network algorithms to exclude non-relevant information (e.g., logos, phrases, words, etc.).
Methods for determining and reporting compliance with rules regarding discarded material
The present disclosure describes a computer-implemented method for determining and reporting compliance with rules regarding discarded material from an originating site. The method may include obtaining, for each batch of a plurality of batches of discarded material, identification information of a respective originating site, capturing image data for each batch and associating the identification and image data. The identification and image data may be sent to a server having rules regarding the discarded material. The server may then determine data regarding compliance and generate a report including data regarding compliance with the rules regarding the discarded material for each originating site.
Methods and systems to generate a token
There is provided a method including generating an initial token being associated with a given context, and sending the initial token to a destination device. The method also includes receiving a scanned token generated by a mobile device scanning an output of the destination device. The output may be generated based on the initial token. In addition, the method includes authenticating the scanned token by comparing the scanned token to the initial token. Furthermore, the method includes generating a productivity indicator based on the scanned token, and outputting the productivity indicator.
