METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR CORRECTING HANDWRITING INPUT
Disclosed is an electronic device including: a memory, and a processor operatively connected to the memory. The memory stores instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to: obtain handwriting data including at least one letter; align the at least one letter with a reference line to generate target handwriting data; change at least one of a position or an angle of the at least one letter to generate distorted handwriting data; obtain correction information for correcting the distorted handwriting data to correspond to the target handwriting data; and store the correction information in the memory.
Input display device and input display method
An input display device includes a display unit that displays a screen for handwriting input on an input screen including a plurality of input fields, a stroke data processing unit that groups stroke data which is input to a capture screen by handwriting into stroke data representing characters to generate grouped stroke data as grouping stroke data, a character recognition unit that conducts character recognition on the grouping stroke data to convert the grouping stroke data into at least one recognized character, and a control processing unit that displays the at least one recognized character at the plurality of input fields of the input screen correlated with positions, at which handwriting input was performed, in the screen for handwriting input.
ADVANCED FORMATTING OF INK DATA USING SPATIAL INFORMATION AND SEMANTIC CONTEXT
In some examples, systems and methods for formatting ink are provided. Ink stroke data may be received, letters may be identified from the ink stroke data, and spacing may be identified between the letters. A user command and semantic context may be received. An action may be determined based on the user command, the semantic context, and the spacing between the letters. Further, the action may be performed.
CALLIGRAPHY-PAINTING DEVICE, CALLIGRAPHY-PAINTING APPARATUS, AND AUXILIARY METHOD FOR CALLIGRAPHY-PAINTING
A calligraphy-painting device, a calligraphy-painting apparatus, and an auxiliary method for calligraphy-painting are disclosed. The calligraphy-painting device includes: a display portion, configured to display a preset calligraphy-painting information; an image acquiring portion, configured to acquire an image; and a control unit, in communication connection with the display portion, and configured to control the display portion to display the preset calligraphy-painting information, wherein the image is processed to obtain a calligraphy-painting region, and the preset calligraphy-painting information is virtually displayed in the calligraphy-painting region.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING TEXT HANDWRITING IN A FREE HANDWRITING MODE
The invention concerns a method comprising: detecting strokes of digital ink input on a computing device in a free handwriting format; detecting a text block from said strokes; performing text recognition on each text line of said text block, including extracting text lines from the text block and generating model data that associate each stroke of the text block with a character, a word and a text line of the text block; normalizing each text line from the free handwriting format into a structured format to comply with a document pattern. The normalization may comprise for each text line: computing a transform function to transform said text line into the structured format; applying the transform function to the text line; and updating the model data of said text line based on the transform function.
Dynamic handwriting verification, handwriting-based user authentication, handwriting data generation, and handwriting data preservation
Handwriting verification methods and related computer systems, and handwriting-based user authentication methods and related computer systems are disclosed. A handwriting verification method comprises obtaining a handwriting test sample containing a plurality of available parameters, extracting geometric parameters, deriving geometric features comprising an x-position value and a y-position value for each of a plurality of feature points in the test sample, performing feature matching between geometric features of the test sample and a reference sample, determining a handwriting verification result based at least in part on the feature matching, and outputting the handwriting verification result. Techniques and tools for generating and preserving electronic handwriting data also are disclosed. Raw handwriting data is converted to a streamed format that preserves the original content of the raw handwriting data. Techniques and tools for inserting electronic handwriting data into a digital image also are disclosed.
System and method for managing digital ink typesetting
A system, method and computer program product for managing typesetting of digital ink structured content on computing devices. Each computing device has a processor and at least one system application for recognizing handwriting input under control of the processor. The system application determines dimensional information of at least digital ink text elements of structured content, calculates a first font size for each typeset ink text element respectively corresponding to the digital ink text elements based on at least part of the dimensional information, categorizes the typeset ink text elements into one or more categories of the structured content, determines a second font size for each typeset ink text element based on the first font size of each typeset ink text element of the respective category, and display, on a display associated with the computing device, the typeset ink text elements at the respective determined second font sizes.
Character recognition method of handwriting input device, handwriting input device, and vehicle including the handwriting input device
A method for recognizing characters of handwritten input text includes: receiving, by a handwriting input area, a handwritten input text from a user; calculating, by a controller, a center axis of the handwritten input text; calculating, by the controller, a rotation angle of the center axis based on a reference axis; correcting, by the controller, a slope of the handwritten input text by the rotation angle so that the slope of the handwritten input text is parallel to the reference axis; and performing, by the controller, character recognition of the handwritten input text acquired by correction of the slope.
Character recognition method, apparatus and device
Some embodiments of the invention provide a novel method for recognizing characters that are input through touch strokes on a touch-sensitive sensor (e.g., a touch-sensitive display screen or a touch-sensitive surface) of a device (e.g., a mobile device, a remote control, a trackpad, etc.). In some embodiments, the sensor has a space-constrained area for receiving the touch input. In some embodiments, the method places no limitations on where the user can write in the space provided by the device. As such, successive characters might not follow each other in the space. In fact, later characters might overlap earlier characters or they might appear before earlier characters.
