Fall arresting lift machine
A fall arresting lift machine has a gantry upon casters, a power source upon the gantry, a drive with a motor upon the gantry in communication with the power source, a controller in communication with the motor and the power source, a vertical strap paying out from the drive motor, a harness upon the strap, and the harness is suitable for wearing by a user. The gantry includes feet, housings, uprights, elbows, braces, and a union. The harness has straps for over both shoulders of the user and a belt and inertial measurement units upon the straps. The drive and controller cooperate to assist a user to sit and to stand, and to detect abrupt acceleration typical of a fall, and arrest the fall. The casters swivel, or alternately select wheels remain in fixed orientation.
Multi-function adaptable lift system
A lift system has a back panel and a seat panel to provide a seat for a user. The back panel is slidably mounted on a support column via slider so that the back panel can be moved up and down to adjust the seat height. The seat panel can be flipped back to accommodate a user in a standing posture. With the support column, the lift system can be attached to a wheeled frame, a pole, a rotatable arm, a wall or a ceiling depending on the need of the user.
BATH TRANSFER CHAIR
A transfer apparatus for receiving the chair seat of a wheelchair and supporting the chair seat in the base of a washing enclosure. The transfer apparatus has a chair support member including a chair support track section that can be positioned in the washing enclosure base, a bridge portion with a bridge track section that is movably mounted to the chair support member. The transfer apparatus includes a lock system usable to secure the bridge portion in an in-use position and engaged with the wheelchair. A first lock inhibits rotational motion of the bridge portion. The first lock includes a retractable locking member that is biased to an extended, locking position. A second lock is usable to prevent longitudinal separation of the bridge portion and the wheelchair. The first and second lock can be automatically engaged when the bridge portion is moved to the in-use position.
Lift assist device for a bathroom
A lift-assist device is disclosed including a seat frame. A seat base can be pivotally coupled to the front side of the frame and moveable between a depressed and extended position. The seat base and seat frame are positionable over the toilet such that a central aperture on the seat base is positioned over the toilet bowl of the toilet. A first arm support can be coupled to the first lateral side of the seat frame and a extends from the top side of the seat frame. A first arm can be pivotally coupled to the first arm support about a point located between a front end and a rear end of the first arm, the rear end of the first arm supporting the seat base. A biasing member can be connected to the seat frame, the biasing member configured to bias the seat base in the extended position.
TOILET
A toilet includes a base, a cover, and a seat. The seat is rotatably coupled to the base, and the cover is rotatably coupled to the seat. The cover and the seat define an angled axis that is oriented upward and forward toward a front end of the base. The cover and the seat are each configured to rotate about the angled axis between a lowered position in which the cover and the seat are located adjacent the base and a stowed position in which the cover and the seat are oriented in an upward direction.
PORTABLE COMMODE AID
Disclosed herein is a commode aid for providing support to a user when the user leans over a toilet. The commode aide includes: (1) a front leg assembly including a left front leg and a right front leg; (2) a rear leg assembly including a left rear leg and a right rear leg; (3) a left armrest and a right armrest, wherein said left armrest is attached to the left front leg and the left rear leg and said right armrest is attached to the right front leg and the right rear leg; and (4) a horizontal support brace removably mounted to the left front leg and the right front leg, configured to be positioned between a toilet seat and a toilet tank and to provide support for the front leg assembly of the commode aid.
POWER ASSISTED LIFTED SEAT ATTACHMENT
A power assisted lifted seat attachment is disclosed. Further, the power assisted lifted seat attachment may include a main body including a generally rectangular shaped top panel, a generally rectangular shaped center panel, and a generally rectangular shaped bottom panel. Further, the top panel and the center panel may be pivotally connected along a second top edge and a first center edge. Further, the center panel and the bottom panel may be pivotally connected along a second center edge and a first bottom edge. Further, the power assisted lifted seat attachment may include a movement mechanism connected to the center panel and the bottom panel configured to rotate the center panel with respect to the bottom panel. Further, the power assisted lifted seat attachment may include a controller coupled to the movement mechanism, configured to control the movement mechanism and rotate the center panel with respect to the bottom panel.
APPARATUS FOR TRANSPORTING A PATIENT
An apparatus for transporting a patient. The apparatus includes a supporting portion to grasp part of the body of a patient. A footboard unit is provided upon which the patient is able to stand when supported by the supporting portion, the footboard unit movable along a floor by movable means. A frame is connected between the footboard unit and the supporting portion. The apparatus is configured so that the footboard unit is able to move in proximity to a bed upon which the patient is lying, whereat the supporting portion can grasp the part of the body of the patient, wherein the frame and the supporting portion are able to support the patient in transitioning from a lying position on the bed to a standing position adjacent the bed as the footboard unit is moved relative to the bed.
ASSISTIVE SEATING DEVICE
An assistive seating device (10) includes a frame (11) having a base (12) with rear legs (14) coupled to front legs (15) having lifting arms (21). The base also includes a first couplers (25) and second couplers (26). The frame also includes a seat portion (29) coupled to the base for reciprocal movement between a lowered, seating position and a raised, lifting position. Lifting cylinders (40) are pivotally coupled at a top end (41) to the seat portion. Each lifting cylinder also has a lower end (44) receivable within either the first or second tubular coupler. The force of the lifting cylinders upon the pivoting seat portion depends upon the selected coupling location of the lower ends of the lifting cylinders upon the base. The assistive seating device also includes a lock to prevent the seat portion from pivoting from its lowered, seating position to its raised, lifting position.
