The processor causes the light source to emit pulsed light having a pulse duration of more than or equal to 0.2 ns and less than or equal to 1 s to illuminate the user with the pulsed light, causes the image sensor to detect at least part of reflected pulsed light that returns from the user and to output a signal corresponding to two-dimensional distribution of an intensity of the at least part of the reflected pulsed light, and verifies the signal against the biometric data to identify the user.
Biometric image processing apparatus, biometric image processing method, and biometric image processing program
A biometric image processing apparatus includes a touch panel, an biometric sensor configured to capture an image of a living body, and a processor. The processor performs a process including first calculating an amount of movement of the living body that moves on the touch panel while coming into contact with the touch panel, second calculating an amount of movement of each region in images captured by the biometric sensor in a period in which the living body moves on the touch panel while coming into contact with the touch panel, and detecting image noise in the captured images based on the respective amounts of movement calculated by the first calculating and the second calculating.
FINGERPRINT DETECTION APPARATUS AND METHOD AND ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Provided are a fingerprint detection apparatus and method and an electronic device, which can improve the detection and identification effect of fingerprint detection when a distance between the optical fingerprint detection apparatus and a display screen changes, thereby improving user experience. The fingerprint detection apparatus is configured to be disposed below a display screen of an electronic device, and includes: a pixel array including a plurality of groups of pixels, the plurality of groups of pixels being configured to respectively receive light signals in multiple directions to obtain multiple images; and a processing unit configured to move the multiple images for combination to form a reconstructed image, and adjust moving distances of the multiple images according to a quality parameter of the reconstructed image to form a target reconstructed image, the target reconstructed image being a fingerprint image of the finger for fingerprint identification.
Optical fingerprint sensor with non-touch imaging capability
The disclosed optical sensing technology can be implemented to provide optical fingerprint sensing while a user finger is located near a device while not in contact with the device for user authentication in accessing the device and can further provide optical fingerprint sensing while a user finger is in contact with the device. In some implementations, the optical fingerprint sensing can be performed on a finger in contact and non-contact instances to enhance the fingerprint sensing and to provide anti-spoofing in the optical sensing. For example, multiple fingerprint images can be captured when a finger is located near a device while not in contact with the device and when the finger is in contact with the device. The captured fingerprint images of the non-contact finger and the captured fingerprint images of the contact finger provide two different types of optical fingerprint sensing mechanisms and can collectively enhance the fingerprint sensing performance and anti-spoofing feature.
Method of setting light sources in display panel for optical fingerprint recognition and method of performing optical fingerprint recognition using the same
A method of setting light sources in a display panel for optical fingerprint recognition is provided. The method includes driving a portion of light sources disposed to correspond to a fingerprint recognition window which is a partial region of a display panel based on initial light source setting values, obtaining initial calibration data based on reflected light of an object received by a fingerprint recognition sensor through the fingerprint recognition window while driving the portion of the light sources; and determining final light source setting values such that powers for driving light sources of different colors among the portion of the light sources are different, the final light source setting values being determined to minimize contrast of an interference signal included in the initial calibration data.
System for detecting and mitigating fraudulent biometric input
A person may attempt to gain access to a facility via transaction data, such as images of a hand of the person or other identifying information as acquired by an input device. Possible fraud may be detected by comparing the transaction data with previously stored exclusion data. The exclusion data may include known bad data or synthetic trained data for detecting possible fraud. If the biometric input matches or is similar to the exclusion data, possible fraud is detected and the person is prompted for additional data. The reply data acquired from the person is compared with the exclusion data to determine if possible fraud is still detected. If so, additional prompts are presented to the person until the reply data provides enough confidence of no fraud or until the transaction is terminated.
Display apparatus and fingerprint sensing method thereof
A display apparatus and an fingerprint sensing method thereof are provided. A display panel of the display apparatus has a pixel circuit array, an in-display touch sensor array, and an in-display fingerprint sensor array. A driving circuit drives the in-display fingerprint sensor array to read a fingerprint image. A current display frame period is divided into a plurality of unit periods, each of the unit periods includes at least one fingerprint sensing period and one or both of a display driving period and a touch sensing period. The driving circuit resets a current fingerprint sensor in the in-display fingerprint sensor array during a first fingerprint sensing period among these fingerprint sensing periods of the first display frame period. The driving circuit reads a sensing result of the current fingerprint sensor during a second fingerprint sensing period succeeding to the first fingerprint sensing period.
