Rescue chair
The present invention is portable lifting apparatus for raising a supine bipedal user into a sitting position with the assistance of sequentially inflated bodies. This device includes a sectional cot, a plurality of inflatable bodies, and a rigid, foldable, locking frame. The addition of the frame, as opposed to the sole use of the inflatable bodies, provides additional stability for the apparatus during the rescue process. Further, due to the rigidity of the frame, it allows another person to lift and carry the apparatus with the patient on it. The apparatus may also include collapsible armrest for use by the patient. The inflatable bodies may inflate simultaneously, resulting in a rapidly raising the patient to a sitting position.
EQUIPMENT FOR THE RAISING OF A LYING PERSON
Equipment for raising of a lying person. The equipment comprises: a seat (1), a backrest (2), which from a first position can be passed to a second position behind the back of the person, and a chassis (3) with an upper end to which the seat is connected and a lowermost end adapted to rest on a surface such as a floor. The equipment is to be placed on the surface positioned to the person such that the seat is placed under the behind of the person and from this first position the equipment with the person can be passed to a second position in which the chassis with its lower end rests on the surface such that the seat and backrest is raised relative to the surface e.g. to take a chair-like posture or a catapult position i.e. an upright position in which the person will be assisted to a standing position.

Devices and methods for transferring an object
A transfer device includes an extendable transfer platform. The transfer platform includes a fixed plate, a moveable plate, and at least one platform actuator configured to selectively move the moveable plate relative to the fixed plate between a retracted position and an extended position in which a leading edge of the moveable plate is located distally from a leading edge of the fixed plate. The transfer platform also includes a transfer belt having a first end secured to a first driven roller, and a second end secured to a second driven roller. The transfer device also includes a platform support structure secured to the transfer platform for supporting the transfer platform above a floor surface. The platform support structure includes at least one support actuator configured to selectively move the transfer platform relative to the floor surface between a lowered position and a raised position.
Emergency lifting apparatus
A portable, lightweight emergency lifting device for downed persons that is intended for use by paramedics/emergency personnel as well as medical facilities and private owners. The lifting device has a single electric screw extendible ram, with a frictional fail safe lifting system. It has a seat with a ramped front edge in conjunction with an arced support leg configuration that allows the seat to extend to the ground when the device is in its collapsed configuration, to aid in loading the patient. The vertical legs open only to an acute angled position so as to leave the immediate area under the seat open and uncluttered. The frame rolls on a pair of fixed front wheels and a wider pair of rear casters.

FLEXIBLE ASSIST HARNESS
A flexible assist harness is configured to allow caregivers to assist patients with limited mobility. The flexible assist harness may include a flexible belt assembly which may be secured to the torso of the patient, and in some cases at least one leg anchor assembly which may be secured to a leg of the patient.
Patient moving devices (edelgard rises)
Safe lifting devices configured for lifting of a fallen patient from a surface and for a transport of the patient are disclosed herein. The devices comprise a class 1 lever including two larger wheels disposed about parallel at a fulcrum of the lever with each of the two larger wheels having shorter load leverage arms and longer effort leverage arms extending radially outward and defining a lever angle of greater than 90. Each of the larger wheels disposed at the fulcrum includes a smaller rolling wheel attached to each larger wheel by an axle and a medium rolling wheel attached to each larger wheel by a different axle. When an operator pulls down the longer effort leverage arms the patient is safely lifted.
Fireman's carry harness
A harness assembly to assist in and secure a fireman's carry of a victim. The harness assembly includes an adjustable strap to be secured around the victim and an adjustable strap to be secured over the shoulder and under the armpit of a carrier. A harness system includes two harness assemblies with one harness assembly being attached around a leg of the victim and one shoulder of the carrier and the other harness assembly being attached around the chest of the victim and the other shoulder of the carrier. The straps are adjustable so that they can be cinched.
PATIENT MOVING DEVICES (EDELGARD RISES) WITH LOCKABLE X-BRACE
Safe lifting devices configured for lifting of a fallen patient from a surface and for a transport of the patient are disclosed herein. The devices can include an X-brace between two larger wheels enabling the width of the devices to be changed. The devices comprise a class 1 lever including two larger wheels disposed about parallel at a fulcrum of the lever with each of the two larger wheels having shorter load leverage arms and longer effort leverage arms extending radially outward and defining a lever angle of greater than 90.
