WHEELCHAIR HARNESS
Embodiments described herein are directed to posture assistance devices that may include a motor coupled to a frame, where the frame attaches to a wheelchair. In some cases, the devices include a shaft coupled to the motor, where the motor is configured to rotate the shaft. The devices can also include an extension arm attached to the frame, where the extension arm includes a redirection surface. The extension arm can be selectively adjustable to change the distance between the redirection surface and the shaft. The devices can also include a connection line coupled to the shaft and configured to engage with the redirection surface, such that rotation of the shaft changes a length a fed-out portion of the connection line. The connection line can also include an attachment mechanism that couples the connection line to a user.
LOCKABLE WHEELS AND SUBJECT SUPPORT LIFTS INCLUDING A LOCKABLE WHEEL
A subject support lift includes a mast portion, a base portion, and a lockable wheel assembly coupled to the base portion. The lockable wheel assembly includes an axle member, a lockable wheel coupled to the axle member, and a pivot member pivotally coupled to the lockable wheel and defining an axis extending in a vertical direction, where the lockable wheel is rotatable about the axis defined by the pivot member. A locking member is coupled to one of the pivot member or the lockable wheel, the locking member being repositionable between a locked position, in which the locking member engages the other of the pivot member or the lockable wheel, and an unlocked position, in which the locking member is spaced apart from the other of the pivot member or the lockable wheel.
Lift system with a stowable support assembly
A lift system includes a hoist module, a support assembly which is movable relative to the hoist module, and a control system. The control system is adapted to enable a user to a) issue an operational command which causes the support assembly to move to an operational destination, and b) issue a stowage command which causes the support assembly to move to a stowage destination. The control system is also adapted to A) disregard the stowage command provided at least one condition is satisfied and/or B) encumber issuance of the stowage command Equivalently, the control system adaptation is to A1) disregard the stowage command provided at least one stowage contraindication condition is satisfied or A2) not disregard the stowage command provided at least one stowage noncontraindication condition is satisfied and/or B) encumber issuance of the stowage command.
Caring lift
A stationary type caring lift includes a base plate arranged on a floor part at each of head and foot sides of a bed for a care receiver along each short-side side of the bed, four supports erected on the base plates in the vicinity of four corners of the bed, a pair of guide rails supported above the bed by the four supports and arranged in parallel along both long-side sides of the bed, a longitudinally moving body arranged between the guide rails and capable of being moved in a longitudinal direction of the bed while being guided by the guide rails, a slide rail attached movably, a laterally moving body attached movably in the lateral direction of the bed, and a lifting drive mechanism attached in the laterally moving body for hanging down the care receiver and having a worm reduction gear with a self-lock function.
Method utilizing personal support sling and mattress system for managing waste collection for bed-ridden user
In a method for managing human waste collection for a bed-ridden user, a pelvic support member with an aperture and another opening is suspended over a mattress. A bag fitting the aperture is removably attached to the pelvic support member below the aperture. The pelvic support member is adjusted to change a geometric parameter of the aperture and/or the opening. The pelvic support member includes longitudinally extending flexible elongate elements each slidably attached to transverse edge elements of the pelvic support member and further includes transversely extending flexible elongate elements each slidably attached to longitudinal edge elements of the pelvic support member. The adjusting of the pelvic support member includes sliding at least one of the flexible elongate elements along respective ones of the transverse edge elements and the longitudinal edge elements.
Apparatus and system for lifting, moving, turning, and positioning a patient
A patient support device includes a sheet configured to be placed beneath the patient in use and a plurality of straps connected to the sheet and configured for use in moving, lifting, turning, and/or positioning the patient. The straps may include one or more retractable straps that each have a stretchable retraction strap connected thereto and configured for retracting the retractable strap. The straps may also include one or more central support straps connected to the sheet in an area positioned between the legs of the patient. The sheet may also include a head support for supporting the patient's head, which head support may also include one or more straps. The straps may be connected to a hoist, which is then used to lift the patient.
Mover device for persons with reduced mobility
A mover device for the body of persons with reduced mobility, suitable and configured for being positioned above an installation. The device comprises a frame and a motor-driven operating portion at least partially overhanging the installation, which comprises a plurality of support elements movable according to at least one degree of freedom and configured for at least partially supporting the weight of a person, for moving at least a respective part of the person's body with respect to the remaining parts of the body. The device also comprises at least one housing and gripping element to house and grip parts and/or joints of a body which can be engaged by a respective support element and configured for operating at least between a rest condition wherein it can engage a part of a body and a grip condition wherein it engages a part of a body.
PATIENT LIFT SLING
A person lift system includes a motor and a sling bar coupled to the motor. The sling bar includes a first attachment hook at a first end region of the sling bar and a second attachment hook at a second end region of the sling bar. A patient-lift sling includes a sling body and a plurality of attachment straps coupled to the sling body. Each of the plurality of attachment straps is configured to attach to one of the plurality of attachment hooks.
Mechanism for sequenced deployment of a mast
An autonomous mobile device with an extensible mast to raise and lower a payload, such as a camera, relative to a main body. The mast comprises a set of telescoping sections. A motor moves a flexible rack between a first spool and the mast to raise or lower the mast. For example, during extension a motor-driven pinion engages teeth on the flexible rack, pulling the rack from the first spool and pushing up the mast. A cable stored on a second spool may be extended and retracted with the flexible rack. The cable transfers one or more of data or power between the main body and the payload. A mechanism provides for sequenced deployment of the mast, with the innermost section moving first. While raising the mast, the mechanism engages between adjacent telescoping sections, locking them in place. While lowering the mast, the mechanism selectively releases section by section.
Garment
A garment is provided for moving an incapacitated person. The garment includes a wearable body portion; and a support portion comprising a plurality of attachment elements attachable to a lifting device. Further, the plurality of attachment elements comprises a first attachment element located at a first location on a first side of a sagittal plane of the garment and a second attachment element located at a second location on a second side of the sagittal plane and substantially opposed to the first location. A method of moving an incapacitated person and a system comprising a garment and a sling are also provided.
