A standing aid for helping a person stand up is proposed, having a frame, at least one support arm arranged movably on the frame and with handles, and a drive device coupled to the frame and to the at least one support arm in order to move the at least one support arm to a lowered and to a raised position, and having at least one padded rest configured to support the shins of the person during the movement of the at least one support arm. The padded rest is formed from a viscoelastic foam with a thickness of at least 6 cm and is dimensioned in such a way that the person's kneecaps at all times bear on the padded rest during the movement of the support arm.

A lifting device including a top member, a pair of side members, a plurality of shield members, and a hoist member. The pair of side members may be attached to the top member and may have a plurality of leg members. The plurality of shield members may be attached to and extending between an upper portion of the pair of side members. The hoist member may be attached to a portion of the top member and may have a load member that may be carried within the hoist member. The hoist member may be configured to rotate the load member between a wound position and an unwound position. The top member and the plurality of shield members may be configured to move between a collapsed position and an extended position.

A lift system has a back panel and a seat panel to provide a seat. The back panel is slidably mounted on a support column via slider so that the back panel can be moved up and down to adjust the seat height. The seat panel can be flipped back when the back panel is in an upright position. A standing-up assist device including: a base portion; a shaft portion, having one end connected to the base portion, capable of moving at least up and down; a support portion provided at another end of the shaft portion; a control unit for controlling movement of the shaft portion; and a user information input unit to which information of a user is input, wherein, when a speed at which the support portion moves when the user is standing up is defined as a first moving speed, the control unit changes the first moving speed according to at least any of physical information and health information of the user, which have been input from the user information input unit.

A standing-up assist device including: a base portion; a shaft portion, having one end connected to the base portion, capable of moving at least up and down; a support portion provided at another end of the shaft portion; a control unit for controlling movement of the shaft portion; and a user information input unit to which information of a user is input, wherein the control unit changes a trajectory of the support portion according to health information on a predetermined part in a body of the user, which has been input from the user information input unit.

A standing-up assist device includes: a base portion; a shaft portion extending upward from the base portion, the shaft portion being expandable and contractible; and a support portion, provided at an upper end portion of the shaft portion, for supporting a body of a user, in which the shaft portion has a plurality of shaft members arranged in a front-rear direction.

Disclosed is a bath lift with a rotating seat assembly to assist an individual with decreased mobility in and out of a bathtub. The application relates to a device for, and method of transferring a patient on a bed between a lying position along a bed to a seated position facing the side of a bed. The device comprises an arm hold to allow the patient to clinch the arm hold to his or her chest, thereby enabling the device to transfer the patient between a lying position and a seated position. Preferably, the device further comprises a leg support to assist in transferring the lower portion of the patients body between a lying position and a seated position.
